My daughters interests are tiny things and magnets. She has multiple kits of magnetic blocks in a bin that she will carry from room to room. Tile shapes when I was a kid never worked well with magnets but the ones now are so much stronger plus this one puts it on all edges and more shapes giving kids more creativity so I bought it for her and now she wants to donate all her magnetic blocks and mega blocks to get more of these. She wants to build all the pictures shown in the booklet included. There is doors windows, you can stack, see through, triangles and squares. Even my mom was heavily interested in these. This is my first set 40 piece magnet tiles. It’s on the Christmas wish list for my 4 year old. He was excited! After couple of weeks, he is still frequently taking it out and play with it. This set of magnetic tiles has windows and doors making it a fun addition to other magnet tile sets! I wish there was more fence pieces. Magnets don’t seem as strong as other brands, but the kids and teachers had fun building with them!

I was kind of nervous ordering this not knowing which pieces were included. Sometimes sets like these include crappy non magnetic pieces in the piece count and it’s super frustrating. This set actually has all 40 magnetic pieces. It includes: 16 squares 12 equilateral triangles 4 isosceles triangles 2 double pane windows 2 arched windows 2 quad pane windows 2 fences pieces 1 storage bag I feel like this is a good variety of pieces for a smaller set like this. I do wish it listed this in the booklet or on the box somewhere. I like to be able to count and make sure I have all the pieces back in the box. Also the booklet includes suggestions on what to build but unfortunately several of the suggestions require more pieces than what are included in the box which can be frustrating especially for kids. The box itself isn’t as convenient for storing tiles as others I’ve purchased but at least it has the bag as well if you’d prefer that. I have bought several sets like this and I have a couple ways to check the magnet strength. This set performed better than most sets for magnet strength. The first method I use is to hang square pieces from each other and see how many I can hang before the magnets give out. A lot of sets 5 is about the limit. If it holds 6 I’d say it’s pretty darn strong. This one could easily hold 6 and even held 7 for a couple seconds so I’m super impressed. The other way I test is by building a cube and seeing how much effort it takes to crush it. This set held up really well there as well. This is important for being able to build tall structures without collapsing on itself. This set has no problem building taller structures. Overall this is a great small or beginner set of magnetic tiles. I definitely would prefer a bigger set and it’s likely your children will definitely want more sets but this size is also great for birthday presents etc where you don’t want to spend a ton. I would not pay the original price of $50 for this but the sale price of $30 is more reasonable. I would definitely recommend this set on the magnet strength alone. ... show more

I got these as an addition to my sons magentiles but they aren’t the same. He still plays with them but they are made differently and the magnets are not in the same spots. Still a great toy to keep kids busy.

    • Not a bad price when on sale.
These are a lot like the Magniformers you can get, which are often way more expensive. The plastic used is very very similar if not the same. Magniformers use a more powerful magnetic rod thought so that the magnet can reorientate to what every side you fit it up to. While I am familiar with Magniformers, I never thought that they were a better value. When I first saw this, I thought the price was a bit steep for what it offered, being a similar price to the better Magniformers, while also using the inferior style magnets that still work very well. As of writing this, you would get this 40 piece set for 29.99 and there was even a coupon for a extra 20% off. The equivalent for Magniformers is 39.99 for 30 pieces. I am actually adding this to increase the number my kids can play with more than a new gift though and this matches the quality of all the other ones we already own. I think we have well over 200 pieces with this just adding to that number. My kids make gargantuan structures with multiple floors to play with their dolls and action figures as well as other toys. Some of the structures come up past my waist and I am 6 ft. Overall, I am happy with the quality, and now happy with the price so I can recommend as long as it stays around the 30 or less range. ... show more

Great gift for kids, hours of fun to be had. The creativity is endless, and they aren't such small pieces that I worry about a choking hazard. Great product to keep little minds busy.
