Pads stay super clean. I used the bottom part of a dog crate and elevated it with an upside down old litter box/container that size. The eggs stay really clean and I barely have to switch them out maybe every two or three weeks. these are wonderful and good value.

Great product for nesting pad for chickens. This is my second order. I change them every 6 months. Better than any other product. Chickens had a choice of three types of nesting pads in 10 different nesting boxes. The choices were fake grass like, silicone and aspen. I even switched them around. My eggs were definitely cleaner for the hens that would use the nesting boxes with these pads. The problem is that several of my hens would not use the pads and starting laying outside of the nest box. Cleaning them isn’t as easy as just removing the old pine shavings or adding new shavings on top of the soiled ones. They look great, they’re thick, and seem durable but for me, it wasn’t a good use of money. ... show more
