This is why I don't like shopping online! I purchased this as a replacement for a massager that was several years old. While this new massager works, it is MUCH LIGHTER and consequently TOO FLEXIBLE - disappointing after my original experience with an older, heavier model. Unilateral use offers MUCH LESS PRESSURE as the the handles bend and touch: disappointing. I'm still using this model but found a different design that looks more promising and corrects for some design flaws, allowing for more versatile use.

I have another shiatsu massage tool, shaped like an S. You can reach one spot on your neck, and it works well. However, the dual balls on this massager let you massage both sides of your head at once. And your neck, but those small muscles in the head always need work. A terrific bargain, too.

The plastic was very flexible so it could extend without snapping and that also meant it could not apply enough pressure. The balls twisted outward when pressure was applied and then remained there after the first day. There are other versions in the same price range that are rigid enough to apply enough pressure. Also when the handles were close together the balls did not touch so if you really wanted to stimulate deep tissue it could not be done with this version or brand.
