So I bought this keyboard and it’s fine, but here are the differences: 1) the case on this attached to keyboard if great and easy to slide the iPad into, 2) the keyboard is noisy and since the wave of using our devices is more and more public, that would be a good thing for the company to fix, 3) it’s heavier, but that much so, and as the reviewer before me said, you get used to it, 4) I didn’t like the backlight feature but it’s easy to turn off, 5) not bothered by having to charge it, that seems fine, keyboard and it’s a bit intense and not quite as cool —it’s heavy and that’s kind of a drag but it works, 6) the pressure on the keys is more intense, kind of retro, but since I write for a living I’m used to typing, and again, you get used to it. It would just be better for those around me if the keys were padded for a quieter sound, 7) it takes a minute to realize that o use the forward delete button you need to hold down the function key—they could fix this too, 8) the biggest drag for. Writer on the iPad is copying and pasting...the mouse is so fast and this interface is not. It’s not the fault of the keyboard—it’s Apple’s issue. I also have a Surface Go, and that’s so much easier to work with when moving large blocks of text and editing, b/c I can attache an external mouse. The touch screen copy/paste function on the iPad has always been glitchy...which means, too, on this keyboard that to erase large blocks of text you either have to fiddle with the glitchy highlight/paste iPad function, or you have to delete backwards letter by letter on this keyboard (it’s very slow.). But overall for the money, this is a solid keyboard, and I love that the case comes with it! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This keyboard and case are incredible. I spent many hours looking for the different options (there are A LOT). Ended up with this one and I completely love it and recommended it. The battery is durable and won’t have to worry to charge it daily (I charge it like once a week and that if I use it a lot). It works by Bluetooth. If you turn it on, it will automatically connect to your iPad and will start to work. The lights feature is just amazing. You can pick your favorite color or have it mixed and changing. If you are looking for a great keyboard, protective case, and will use your iPad to type a lot, from work to classes, don’t look no more. This is the one for you 🙌🏼 ... show more

For the price this is a very good deal. I like this for travel when I may want a keyboard for longer emails/casual use. I would still take my laptop though for more "serious" use - like if I was writing / doing course work, etc. - The keyboard is a little smaller than a regular keyboard so it takes some time to adjust to that - I do sometimes have to restart my ipad to get it to connect to the keyboard but it works once I do s - I have found the keyboard tends to not hold its charge well between uses so I either need to keep it plugged in or think ahead that I may need it - as a whole the case + keyboard is a little heavier than I wanted it to be, though still less weight and hassle vs. traveling with a full laptop ... show more

There's really no need to spend 200-300 bucks on a keyboard case when this is available. And with backlighting, no less! I'm one of those users for whom backlighting has become a must-have feature in my keyboards. My primary home machine and my primary laptop's keyboards both have backlights. I was happy to find this for my new iPad, although I had my reservations because, more often than not, "ya git whut ya pay for". Imagine my surprise at finding that this item really feels like I got a bargain. It connects via bluetooth, yes, but I haven't had any issue with that. After the initial connection, it's able to recognize and connect the keyboard seamlessly when the keyboard is turned on. I've charged it once in two weeks. I'd say that speaks pretty well to the battery life. The backlighting is solid. It's not cheapo, faded lighting. It's full-on, LED glory. And you have the option of the full rainbow of colors to pick from (which you can do quickly and easily at the press of a special key). The cover folio gets the job done. The iPad can sometimes slip a little, as the notches aren't perfect for the size of the the iPad itself. However, if you have the keyboard in place, that will prevent any slippage. And that will give the whole unit a more stable feel. You can pick the whole thing up and carry it around in one hand with ease. For the price point, I don't think you're going to find a better cover-keyboard combo with backlighting. They've done a great job. ... show more
