  • Works - But Expect to do a little grinding to make it fit on your bike
Color: Black Size: Universal Fit
I rated this product as 3 Stars. I bought two. I bought one trailer. Then two hitches, or an extra one as one hitch was shipped with the trailer. One hitch each, on the rear axles of both bikes. In both cases, this cast piece of metal, which appears to be an "after market" version of the original, meaning, it's obvious the original company made precision ones. As the one that came with the trailer was precision made. Probably original company got out of the business / went to making other things, so a after market company took up the contract to keep manufacturing but paid to do it cheaper, and this shows up in the quality of the other hitch piece. That said, both are rugged metal. Very durable and securely holds the bike trailer in place; but expect to do some grinding on the outer circumference of the axle bolt eyehole of this hitch to make it "fit" on a significant number of models of bicycles, on rear axle bicycle frame. I would expect some persons to purchase this, and find it won't fit or work as advertised on their bike, when just a rather small amount of precision grinding/specification work at the factory would have prevented this. Still, it's 3 Stars and worth the buy. Just expect, in some instances, like in mine, both instances, where it would not properly fit. The eyelet is drilled right, and fits over the axle bolt; but, on either bike without a about 20min. of grinding the outer circumference to make it "fit" as many bicycles are now strong tubular and reinforced at the axle bolt with a circular inlay. If your bike has a "Flat" metal frame at the axle mount then this part works fine without grinding. ... show more

  • A nice replacement set or spare for towing trailers
Color: Black Size: Universal Fit
A handy replacement for many towing trailers. I purchased this for the metal connector on the bicycle. That way I have two bikes that are ready to attach to a trailer. I've pulled as much as 100 pounds on the bike, and the hitch has held out, although at heavy loads the bike does lurch some with an uneven road. ... show more

We have a Giant pea-pod baby trailer and my husband and I wanted to be able to carry or baby without switching the hitch back and for all the time, so we got this extra hitch and it works perfectly! same quality materials as the original.
