I first have to say I took a star off because the instructions are too simple. It alludes to a cleaning process but it doesn't show how to disassemble device to access the spinning fan thing that moves the water. That was my first concern because that is what has killed my previous pumps. I want to remove the parts after first use to see difficulty. I also don't see a filter and at first was like wow... but it is does say it's use for an aquarium and i guess things are filtered already. For those of you who have used 'swamp coolers' you know you can get a screen to put filter in to keep contaminants out. Which I will be doing as I am attempting a water fall for my garden. Once I got past that i can say... WOW it moves a lot of water! 64 gallons per hour is more than I really thought I needed. it comes with screw in fittings that you can connect a tube hose to direct where you want the water to go to. For me I will have a kiddie pool as the water catch foundation and then with drainage pipes cut in half filled with rocks to have the water run from an elevated spot and have water run back down. To test it I filled a 5 gallon bucket of water and just had a pipe going up 4 feet and used it as a bubbler fountain. Very soothing sounds. I wish it had a longer cord but I will and a GFI outlet installed were we plan to use it. Time will tell how long this one lasts. My others were simple water fountains you buy from box stores that had small pumps. this one is maybe five times more powerful. a first for us.

I ordered this because I needed a water pump for my distiller. I was looking for one with adjustable water flow. I read the item description and it indicated adjustable flow with 4 different sized nozzles. I don't know enough about water pumps, my brain read adjustable water flow and I was sold. I opened the box and didn't see any obvious way to adjust the flow. The smallest nozzle was 5/8 too big for my distiller so I bought a wider hose and reducer to make everything work. When I turned it on, water went everywhere. This pump is way too powerful for my distiller. That's on my because I didn't understand that the flow was determined by the nozzles and how limited it was. Even though it won't work for my needs, I'm giving it 4 stars because it's a powerful pump and pretty quiet. I'm sure it is great for someone with a large aquarium, hydroponics, or even a pond.

Bought this for an upright water spray in a 300 gallon pond. It is way to strong for that, shooting a couple feet into the air. I can't speak to how well the suction cups will work. I'm going to try to use it too create a water fall eventually.

I used this pump to replace my small outdoor pond pump. The pond is about 100 gallon and the pump brings water to a canister filter then back to the pond. So far it works like the expectation and water flow is strong enough to make the pond clear. There are a lot of leaves dropping to the pond and daily visit from wild animals so there will be quiet a few things need to filter. The previous one is 550gph 30w and last about 4 months so I upgraded to this 660gph 40w one and hopefully it will work. Overall it looks like made with good quality and pumps a strong flow. The only thing I wish is they can come with a filter bag so that I can wrap the pump with it to avoid big debris get into the pipe.

We used this to replace the pump in our large garden fountain. It has worked well since we got it 2 months ago. The rise is about 28" from the pump to the top of the fountain and we have had no issues with it. I am very satisfied with how it has worked. 5 stars

I got this for building an in-ground pond in my yard. I tried it out in my little water feature and it was sucking up and stirring all the muck on the bottom, which is great since I want to hook this up to filtration and a fountain for the pond. It comes with 4 removeable suction cups for the bottom and a nice length power cord. I love that it comes with 4 different sized tubing attachments that screw into the top. It has a nice weight to it and and seems sturdy and well made. Very pleased.
