As others have said, this thing bounces like crazy. No amount of tightening will help. It also slowly sags as I drive, and I have to keep pushing it up. I bought two, one for each car... Glad I did! One of them stripped out in the process of installing it, and because it was so bouncy anyway, I opted to just use the original suction cup mount in that vehicle, which is MUCH better. I would not buy these, in hindsight. It will work, for now, but I regret my purchase. ... show more

I’m just being a little bit nitpicky, but the material that it’s made of does not give me the indicator of longevity, but I would imagine it’s going to last a couple years at least. My only real gripe is I wish the screws were a little bit shorter as you could see in the picture they protrude a little bit out the top, but overall it works great, pair that with a power cord that hooks into a mirror or other power supply near the radar and it just makes everything look really clean. ... show more

I just installed it and when I took the radar off it came apart. The magnet is strong but its not glued to the mount. Well with jb weld its not going anywhere. Other than that it seems fine.

    • Cheap plastic
In order to tighten it enough to get the radar detector to stop vibrating/bouncing all over the place, it breaks the cheap plastic pieces where the bolts are. This causes more bouncing and renders the thing useless. Fabricate mirror mount from aluminum to keep it from breaking.
