This is a surprisingly bright lamp for only 21W. Mounting was ABC. Mounting holes and flat base allows you to mount on any flat surface. Lamp is not as big as displayed but lit my entire patio and some. The sensor works very well with good range. It is plastic so I don't know how long it could last in direct sun and rain.     • Issue with motion detection
First, the range is 15 to 20 feet at the most. Second, the detection activation range is different from side to side. When facing the motion unit in the center, the left side has a detection range up to 10ft. The center to the right side is 15 to 20ft. This unit is best suited for close-up detection or lighting up a small area. If you're looking for solid, long range detection, more than 25ft, this is not the one to buy. ... show more

    • Save Money W/Motion Sensor Feature
LUTEC 21W Plug in Motion Sensor light Outdoor Flood Lights I can't recommend these enough, especially for our use on our property where we have our house with a separate workshop building and “party barn” all connected by a wood walkway and obviously need lighting to see when going to one or another, but I don't want the lights on all of the time. Dusk to dawn is fine, but it wastes power and also attracts bugs, which brings in the spiders, frogs and lizards that all make a huge mess. With these, I have the motion sensor angled more up so as not to go off when cats and/or possums pass by and the time set to 3 minutes and they are very responsive when we approach them when walking by. They would also work great as security lighting if an uninvited guest came on your property, it would probably startle them and/or make them wonder if someone turned the light on after seeing them or if you also put a security camera in the same vicinity, that would really be a great deterrent. Installed with two screws directly to the siding and then the light simply plugs into a standard 110v receptacle. Decently bright, but not over the top like some of these fixtures are and definitely enough light for seeing where you're going in about a 40' swath. The heads can be adjusted to direct more light to a tighter spot like over a grill or widened out to cover a bigger space. Shipped and received fast and great value as well. 5- Stars! ... show more

    • Great lamp for inside my garage!
I wanted a motion light inside my garage as one side does not have a light or switches, I wanted one that was not too high energy use (just in case it triggers itself), and one that was bright enough to light up my workbench. This light checked all the boxes and then some. First of all, it is unbelievably easy to install. 4 screws, you plug it in and that's it. The motion light has triggered rapidly almost every time, sometimes I have to wave a little to get its attention, but I noticed the sensor is capable for short distances. It is also very bright, brighter than I would've expected! The only thing I would change is potentially having a slightly longer cable, but for the price I can't complain. ... show more

This is the overhead plug-in light to get in your garage! The motion detector means you don’t have to manually turn on and off light in your garage. The brightness is plenty for indoor and outdoor as well. The adjustable heads means you have some flexibility where to point the light. It’s made of plastic but that’s ok, if you use it indoors then it will last forever, outdoors maybe a bit less depending on your weather. The sensor itself is a bit finicky but once you tweak it then it works like a charm. I mentioned garage because I specifically use it for this purpose and it works wonderfully! This outdoor motion flood light seems to work well and functions as expected. The motion sensor consistently picks up motion and responds immediately and the adjustable lights provide the right amount of light, right where it’s needed. This motion flood light is plenty bright enough for most applications but not so bright that it annoys close-by neighbors. This motion floodlight is easily adjustable and works perfectly for a small yard. The floodlight features a plastic housing with 4 mounting screw tabs, and a 5-feet long polarized cord.
