I got this particular guardrail because it's short and not long. It allows me to turn to my side and pull myself up to get out of bed after a recent hip surgery. It comes with a rechargeable (usb) nightlight that lights up automatically when you walk close to it or pull yourself up which is great for getting up in the middle of the night to use the restroom. I liked mine so well that I bought one for my sister for her 69th birthday. I called it the old lady birthday gift. Practical . She loves hers too because it's non intrusive to the room. Its strong, easy to install.. absolutely worth the money

This works amazing. The light is nice and bright to help see in the middle of the night. Easy to use and grip. The only probably was installing it. It had to be finagled. Does not work well on all beds. Not everyone has a solid platform!

Like many people in their seventies, getting out of bed can be quite a chore especially if you have to go to the bathroom. I would try to rock back and forth trying to get my feet on the floor for several minutes. When I saw your bed rail on the computer, I said why not. Well, let me tell you I no longer have to rock back and forth. I grab the side rail and swing my legs and I am ready to get up. This product is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone needing help in getting out of bed safely and quickly.

My mother is 92 and recently sustained a hairline hip fracture. The fracture substantially limited her daily mobility. She particularly struggled with the ability to get out of bed having to rock herself until she was able to get up with this momentum. The bed rail has changed her world. She is now able to get out of bed without any help. She is doing exercises to build up her upper body strength so the bed rail together with improved upper body strength has made getting out of bed a non issue. Also, she loves the night light. She often has to get up in the middle of the night and the night light illuminates the area sufficiently to allow her to get up without fumbling in the dark. The bed rail was easy to set up and once installed is very stable. My mom is extremely pleased with this device.

Bed rail is sturdy and easily installed. There is a light that goes on with movement and then turns off automatically when you are situated in bed. After back surgery my husband needed support getting in and out of bed. Will probably use this bed rail for a long time.
