Some of the best brushes I have ever owned in over 30 years as a professional artist. Retains an excellent point and smooth as butter. By far the most comfortable brushes I have ever used. No shedding or freying of bristles. Bristles are perfectly shaped to an exact point without strays. Handles are good and solid and well made. Ferrules are double crimped and extremely solid. The only thing that I did not like was the packaging. Brushes as good as these need to be packaged better, but I guess to offer these at this price, costs need to be cut somewhere.     • I do 3d printed model painting
These are by far the best brushes Ive come across, painting on 3d prints wear down the bristles on any paint brush so im not going to spend 20 dollars for one brush when i can get a whole set for half that. the bristles do lose their point after awhile but they are the perfect mixture of soft and hard to make painting tight corners easy. ... show more

I'm a veteran that suffered traumatic event, I love painting and anything that has a flat surface. My fingers have difficult time holding thin brushes, these brushes are best! Now there is no stopping me. I recently hand painted shark teeth warplanes model and it's so real that come out and bites. Need to try them if you prefer thick holding area. ... show more

    • Great value, but not for miniature painting
For context, I paint 28mm D&D models and Warhammer 40k models. Pros: This is a great value for sure. 10 brushes marketed to hobby and miniature painters at at just over a dollar a brush. The triangular grip is comfortable and helps with hand fatigue over the course of a long painting session. Great range of sizes that will cover everything from fine detail to base coating large pieces of terrain. Cons: These are not good for wargames miniature painting. The "value" that you get represents the quality. After four days of painting, 3 of the 4 brushes I was using started developing hooked tips. The fourth had split bristles that were sticking out the sides. I frequently found some of the individual bristles stuck to my models. This was less problematic after the first painting session that seemed to weed out the weak bristles. Although the triangular grip is very comfortable, it kind of locks you into only using three specific positions of the brush. This takes away the ability to spin the brush and approach from different sides to keep the bristles fresh. I think this is a major reason that the tips begin to hook so quickly. The synthetic bristles really are junk. Paint dries up very quickly on them, they just do not hold paint for long sessions. I found after painting one model, my second model often needed to have paint reapplied to the brush after five or six individual strokes unless I completely clean the brush off. The size range is very redundant. Of the 10 brushes, I really only found I needed 4 sizes to cover everything from base coating to fine detail on a variety model sizes. Conclusion: If you are looking for a cheap set of brushes you know you're going to destroy easily like on painting bases or terrain, how can you argue with the price. If you are serious about your models however, you just need to suck it up and actually spend some money on 3 to 5 decent quality brushes. ... show more

I am new to watercolor painting. I have purchased a lot of cheap brushes that were horrible quality. I wanted something that would be cheap but produce great results and these brushes does just that. I love these brushes so much. With they came in bigger sizes. Maybe they do? I was a little worried since the packaging was pretty basic. But I was worried for nothing. ... show more

    • I use these brushes all of the time
I like the broad built-up end of the brush while painting fine lines between flower petals. Other fine tip brushes that I have used require me to hold a tiny round brush holder and it is hard on my fingers and knuckles.

    • brushes were okay don't buy the set only for the appeal.
Brushes were good quality however after using them I realize the bristle have to be longer in order to make long lines...and sadly this brushes had one lengh and not whole lot of variety in the thickness of the brush. I am learning you have to buy a set where you have a fan brush, flat brush, long brush etc etc..this set is about the same sizes and makes not much of a difference when it comes to painting fine lines ... show more
