I love this ukulele! I have never played an instrument before and when I decided to take up the uke, I wanted an instrument that would sound good, otherwise what's the point? This sounds great This instrument stays in tune nicely and it is SO pretty. It is really fun to play. I love the details etched on the front. I would recommend getting a hard case, especially if you have kids, pets, or plan to take it anyplace. The gig bag doesn't offer much protection. Update: I have been playing for a few years and now have 3 ukuleles. This one is still my favorite. It feels nice, and sounds great. ... show more

Although I'm not a proffessional or advanced player, I have 7 ukes, some more expensive than this one. For the money, I think this is really a nice instrument and I tend to play it more often than the others. It's a comfortable size, volume and tone is really nice, and attractive laser design, too. I have others made of beautiful Koa and salted mango woods. This is solid mahogany and although not as striking as the other woods, it still looks good, the design is eye catching, and the uke feels solidly made. This is my first experience with a Luna, and I have to say I'm in love. It is beautifully carved, came with Aquila strings. Once tuned stays in tune for a very long time. And it has a robust sound when played. Because of my experience with this uke I have purchased another Luna ukulele which as not disappointed. Great sounding ukulele. Inlays look amazing. The back of the neck isn't as smooth as most ukuleles in this price range. The bag also sucks! Definitely get something that will protect your investment.
