Precision fitted with a hand-shaped 15 scale mahogany neck and pearloid moon phase inlaid black walnut fretboard, the Vista Deer ukulele's feel, playability, and stand-alone acoustic sound are nothing short of inspirational. The Vista Deer features a gloss finished, maple binding, concert body with Koa back and sides for enhanced tone and projection. I love my new Luna, Vista deer concert ukulele. It truly is a beautiful, work of art and a labor of love. I own many ukuleles and have purchased many ukuleles to give as gifts, but none of them compare with this beauty! I had been worried how it would travel, and when I saw it packaged only in the manufacture's box, my heart sank, I am very thankful for the wonderful, heavy padded gig bag that Luna packed it in, it protected it on it's long journey, and also for the care that the delivery people must have given it. This ukulele is exquisite in every way. The wood is gorgeous and the design is breath-taking. I have admired the vista ukuleles for quite a while, when I met a young woman with the guitar version of the same design, I fell in love with it, I could see it was of outstanding quality. I had since been on the look out for the ukulele version. I never thought I could afford one. My husband told me to go ahead and buy it, when I "found" this one. It is so beautiful to look at, it is definitely art. I tuned it and played it acoustically for a while and it sounded very lovely, but when I plugged it in, I was blown away. I have a few electric ukuleles, they sounded alright to me, but the fishman kula pre-amp is a game changer. I couldn't believe the sound coming out of my little amplifier, before I thought maybe my amp wasn't very good, I think now the difference is in ukuleles pre-amps. Mine did come with one strap button, that wasn't pictured in the product description pictures. I am pleased with that. I was nervous about installing one myself, now I don't need to. ... show more

    • Ordered a $360 Uke and received a $100 uke. Not even on time.
What I disliked is that this product is being represented by a seller who charged me $360 for a beautifully advertised acoustic/electric ukulele and instead sent me a $100 ukelele with no pick up and nothing even remotely close to as beautiful as what I paid for. They still held onto my funds and have offered zero communication in the problem. Luna should set higher standards for who carries there product line. Not even sure what to do now. ... show more

This instrument plays nice though I think I will shave the bridge a bit to make it better. The sound is quite nice and everyone has commented on its looks. Plugged in sounds good too. Fishman controls are nice and built in tuner is always a plus! A little pricey...but I would spend as much on art and this is both art and music! ... show more
