My dog is between a large and a medium and I ordered both. I would say size down bc it’s stretchy and comfortable fabric so it’s not too tight. Also as your dog wears it throughout the day the back part stretches a bit for a better fit but if you sized too big it will be droopy and your dog could get urine or feces on it. Overall GREAT product. Easy to put on. Super functional with great mobility and made it so my dog could go about her usual day with the peace of mind that she wouldn’t be able to access her incision. ALSO has good Velcro strength and durability. Didn’t rip or wear. Could not recommend this product more 10/10

This suit fits a little loose but it will work well after my dog's surgery because it won't be tight or uncomfortable. I like the convenience of the velcro in the back to be able to open for her to urinate.

I have tried a lot of recovery suits for an upcoming abdominal surgery. This one was pretty good, especially aspects of the design and fit. Not as thrilled about the type of fabric. Haven’t decided if we are keeping it or not. Positive - The full zipper up the back, plus a small area of velcro close to the neck to keep the suit in place to be able to zip it more easily. This was one of my favorite design details in all of the suits we tried. The fit around the legs and neck is not tight and seems comfortable for him to walk in. The fit was correct for him according to the recommendations. Negative - The material is a slick, easily snagged polyester material. It feels cheap and like it would not breathe well. The belt is kind of heavy and stiff for a small dog. My pup is a healthy weight if a bit on the thin side and the fit doesn’t need to be tighter around his abdomen, so I don’t really understand the point of it unless you have a barrel chested dog with a tiny waist comparatively.

So much better than the cone-of-shame after surgery. Prevented licking so her incision healed quickly. And she looked so cute in her bunny suit! We plan to use it as a winter coat on snow days now that she is healed.

Got this as a recovery suit after my puppy got spayed. It was more difficult to put on her than another brand I bought. She was able to pull the Velcro open. The material is a nice weight.

I purchased a different brand of surgical onesie for my dog after her spay and absolutely loved it. I wanted a back up for when that one was in the wash, and opted for this less expensive version. Big mistake, would have been worth it to purchase the other brand instead. This one has a circle design in the middle that was rubbing against by dogs belly all night and made her incision bleed, as shown in the photo. There was way too many unnecessary zippers and Velcro, all of which are very loud and scared my dog. The other brand has less contraptions and the Velcro wasn’t as loud. The other option had a nice smooth lining inside so it was comfortable and protected her belly. Spend a couple extra dollars and get the good brand.
