Some people have complained that either the top or the bottom light is wasted, but they are missing the point. These are meant to create an effect. Place them in tall walls or palm trees to create a nice effect. If you expect light intensity comparable to a real electric lamp, that's not realistic: we don't have yet the solar panel and battery technology to extract so much power from daylight. These give a nice calming illumination. Place them strategically to accentuate architectural features or pathways. ... show more

The look really good. I just need to adjust them on the fence to get the lighting to reflect evenly on the top and bottom. Haven't paid close enough attention though to see how long they stay lit at night.
