  • Can't recommend this adjustable base highly enough! You will not regret purchasing!
Size: Twin XL Style: L600 Pattern Name: Adjustable Base Only
I was directed by my doctor fairly recently to get an adjustable bed. I recently learned that adjustable bases do not have to cost an arm and a leg. Stores over-charge for bases by about a 400% to 900% markup. For example: A similar base to the Lucid L600 in one of my local bed shops costs about $2300 in a twin XL and doesn't include voice control! I bought the Lucid L600 adjustable base (Twin XL size) around April 5, 2021. I had been researching adjustable bases for 2 months prior, before landing on the L600. Everyone knows that most adjustable bases are made in China with the same cheap metal, etc. The Lucid bases are made in Taiwan, but similar care should be taken. If that gives you pause, consider that many makes of the true high end Audiophile gear are also made in Taiwan, not to mention China either partially or on the whole. That said, there is a distinct advantage to going with a Lucid base, I will get to momentarily. Lucid, offers 5 levels of adjustable bases: The L100, L150, L300, Advanced and L600 The L600 is their top model. All bases come with fixed height legs, but you can purchase adjustable ones through Lucid or Amazon if needed. What makes the Lucid L600, L300 and Advanced stand out? For starters, it is the warranty. The standard warranty on adjustable bases of almost any other make is 1-year Limited just for the frame, the motors and other parts are not covered! Lucid offers a 10-year Limited warranty on the L600, L300 and Advanced models. This is almost unheard of in this industry! Lucid's warranty breaks down this way: YEARS 1-3: Warranty covers defects in the workmanship or materials for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Lucid® will send replacement parts for any defective part to the purchaser, and Lucid® will pay all authorized labor and transportation costs associated with the repair or replacement of any parts. YEARS 4-10: During the years four (4) through ten (10) from the date of purchase, Lucid® will offer replacement parts for any defective mechanical part. Purchaser shall pay 1/7th of the replacement cost of the defective part multiplied by the number of years since three (3) years after the warranty commencement date and Lucid® shall bear the remainder of the cost of the replacement part. The purchaser shall bear all labor and shipping costs associated with repair or replacement of the defective part(s). An exception to this is the metal frame, which is covered in full for the duration of the 10 year warranty. On top of that though is the customer support Lucid offers that has to be experienced to be believed! I can't effectively describe it, you have to experience it. I had spoken with reps at Lucid several times before purchasing the L600 and every time they answered the phone within two rings and more importantly, they are the friendliest and most helpful folks! They treat their customers like family. They have no hesitation or endless red tape to deal with regarding warranty or repair or any other issues with their customers. The customer service manager told me that they like to give the benefit of doubt to their customers should a warranty or repair issue occur instead of just throwing the customer under the bus automatically. It is unheard of to get this kind of warranty and support on a product like this. You may purchase products from the Lucid website and you are taken to Amazon to complete the purchase in most cases. Lucid has exclusive contracts with Amazon, Walmart and Wayfair. The L600 (as with all their bases) is easy to assemble. If you have a partner to help, assembly takes about 10 minutes. TIPS: The hardest part of assembling the base is flipping it onto its feet. The twin XL size is 100 pounds. This is why two people are recommended in assembly. Be careful NOT to lean it on its side using the legs as leverage to flip the base over! This increases the chance of either bending or breaking the leg bolts or a frame weld. If you don't have a partner to help, you can assemble it from beneath: look further in the customer comments on Amazon for how to do it. I also recommend that you use furniture sliders under the legs if you want to move the bed for any reason after assembly. Put one under each leg. Get the plastic ones for carpet and felt ones for hard floors. These can be had on the cheap. On any adjustable base I have heard a number of times about people going to move the bed a couple of inches and wind up bending or breaking a leg bolt or a weld due to too much pressure in one direction. This is true of any brand base. Pros (or what I like): Excellent customer support 10 year limited warranty High quality Okin motors with smooth, perfect speed operation, not too fast or slow. 18 button remote with clearly marked buttons including one programmable button and presets can also be reprogrammed by the end user! Backlit remote Android and iOS apps for more customization USB ports Under bed lighting Three strength and multi-mode massage Voice control (Siri only at this time, but Alexa ability is currently in the works and will be free for all owners when released) Cons: (Nothing is perfect so let's look at the caveats): While the remote is backlit it only comes on when you have pressed a button. Finding the correct button in the dark is impossible. Too bad the backlight on the remote does not activate with movement. The only other caveat is that there is no separate massage strength button, one just hits the head or foot massage button again to cycle through the strength. The "Mode" button cycles through the different massage modes. This is not that big a deal though, just something to note. Overall, the caveats hardly take away from the greatness of the product and with support like Lucid offers there is no reason not to consider an adjustable base from this company. Last tip: If you want to get the L600, L300 or the like, I highly suggest avoiding Wayfair at the moment. You are far better off going through the Lucid website or direct through Amazon or even Walmart. I recommend the Lucid/ Amazon route. You don't have to just take my word for it. If you are looking at getting an adjustable base (they also have mattresses and other bedding items) and have some questions, technical or otherwise. Go ahead and contact the good folks at Lucid and experience it for yourself! ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: Queen Style: L600 Pattern Name: Adjustable Base Only
Just bought the Lucid L600 adjustable bed base frame queen size. So far so good. Everything was there, nothing was missing. The frame was actually pretty easy to assemble. I was able to assemble it with just myself, just tried to be careful with it. The hardest part is turning it over once the legs are on and it's all assembled. It is pretty heavy (150 lbs) so I had to be real careful and lift with my legs. There is a rug on my bedroom floor so repositioning the bed was easier for me. People with wood flooring definitely need 2 to four people to turn it over, or use cardboard or something to keep from scratching up the floor. Everything works perfectly so far! I am very pleased! ... show more

  • Great adjustable bed frame
Size: Queen Style: L150 Pattern Name: Adjustable Base Only
This is a great adjustable base fit inside my current bed frame perfectly. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles like USB charging ports in a light underneath but if you're looking for a bed that seems to be quality and you don't care about the bells and whistles this is a great deal. I tend to sleep pretty well anyway but this adjustable bed frame just takes it up a notch. Well worth it. it seems a little awkward and heavy but that's to be expected with a big piece of equipment like this. ... show more

  • Bed is great when it works - just be diligent if you have to deal with Lucid's support department.
Size: Queen Style: L600 Pattern Name: Adjustable Base Only
*Review Update One* The support department did finally send me parts (without necessitating a phone call) and currently the bed is functioning once again. Approx. five years left on the warranty so we shall see what the future brings. *Original Review* Purchased in 2020 during the COVID heyday. Figured if I was going to be indoors a lot might as well upgrade the bed - needed it anyway as my old frame was as basic as can be ($50 or so) and my old mattress was visibly sagging in the middle. Got this Lucid for an acceptable price after researching the market and loved it. Good all-around functionality for things like reading, and *very* nice to have if you're sick and can't lie down without clogging up within seconds of going horizontal as you can find the perfect angle on which to sleep and adjust as necessary. About a month ago, mid-massage cycle, the foot motor stopped working while the head motor continued to operate. I figured the foot massage motor has died, however reversing the connections from the control box to the two motors reversed the condition i.e. the foot motor was functioning (by pressing the head button on the remote) while the head motor was rendered unresponsive. Ok, pretty obvious at this point it's not the motor but the control unit - or potentially the Y-cable from the box to the two motors as they share a port on the control unit. On 08/20, I wrote to support and explained all this as clearly and succinctly as possible, to which I received a response seeking clarification regarding the condition which included inquiry pertaining to the lift motors - which I never mentioned in my original email. On 08/29, I responded re-explaining the situation, which was met literally met with "Would you be so kind as to confirm that you are not encountering any issues with the massagers? Yes or No?" (OF COURSE) and "Additionally, I would like to clarify that the only concern relates to the control box, as you have mentioned that when both motors are connected to the foot port on the control box, neither motor operates, while both motors function correctly when connected to the head port of the control box. Yes or No?" (WTF?). On 09/05 I responded, once again explaining the situation, specifically indicating that this has absolutely nothing to do with the lift motors or lift motor ports and even providing an analogy for comparison (suspected burnt out bulb but actually lamp comparison). The two *separate* responses since a day or two apart: 1) We kindly request that you contact us at your earliest convenience when you are near the base to assist you with troubleshooting. Our customer support team is available from Monday to Thursday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. MST. 2) We have not heard back from you. If you still need our assistance, you can reply back to this email. Seriously? At this point they're wasting my time and I get the feeling they're hoping for slippage. They're being sent a link to this review as a reply to the last message so the ball's firmly in their court at this point. ... show more

  • Great Bed Platform/frame
Size: Queen Style: L150 Pattern Name: Adjustable Base Only
Love this! Had a reverse total shoulder. So slept in a recliner for a long time! When I transitioned to a bed, this helped me not turn on side, because I am a side sleeper, to help with pain! (Also reflux & snoring😂) Easy to assemble, quiet mechanisms!Sturdy!
