  • Clean, protected, and queen sized peace of mind

I got this for my queen bed and it’s been holding it down flawlessly. I wash it every two weeks (could probably go longer, but let’s be honest my OCD would never let that happen). 😅 It’s super easy to zip on and off, fully encases the mattress like a gentle little armor, and has stood up to multiple washes without tearing, warping, or acting weird. It keeps out spills, dust, allergens, and all the things I do not invite into my bed. If you want something reliable, quiet (no plastic crinkle sounds!), and durable, this one’s a solid win. ... show more

  • Zipper is tight, Good mattress Encasement
Size: Twin Style: Mattress Encasement
Update 5/30/2016: Several months later: No more bites. Paranoid, I ended up putting a swatch of duct tape over the zipper pull. Did not use Tea Tree Oil on dogs or daughter, with no plans to. It took me 8 hours to thoroughly clean her room. I also had her room and surrounding rooms' floors steam cleaned. I sprinkled DE under the dog's bedding area for fleas and in all the cracks neat the doors. Daughter has not complained about the mattress cover once. I bought one of these after my daughter had a linear string of bites one morning, shortly after coming back from a weekend church camp retreat where they slept on mattresses but brought their own sheets and pillow. She had 45 bites total on her arms, neck and waist. I had heard that bed bugs are terrifically difficult to eradicate, and since the facts hinted at bed bugs, I went into action and did hours of research. These are part of my arsenal, but I was very concerned that the zipper would be a weak spot. Turns out the zipper is tight and has a zipper cover at the top where the zipper stops. The teeth are tight. I included an image of the zipper. The label was on the outside of the bed cover, and to me, offers a place for bed bugs to hide. I ended up cutting it off. Even if we don't have bed bugs, I know that these will at least cut down on allergens. The fabric is not noisier than say, parachute pants. It reminds me of parachute material. It doesn't look plastic or seem like it would be hot. Looks like breathable fabric with a tight weave. I'll share my research: I have put the pillows, stuffed animals and boxes of tiny toys/pieces in the freezer at 0F (I have a fridge thermometer) for 4 days. I put the oven at 120F and put stuff in there for 2 hours. It's too cool outside to put stuff in the car in the sun and bake them out there. Larger furniture and bean bag chair have gone in the attic in plastic bags for a year, although the heat this summer will likely kill any bugs. I bought Diamitaceous Earth to sprinkle in the cracks of the room after vacuuming thoroughly. Tea tree oil smells like flea shampoo for dogs, so I will use that directly on her skin or the dogs this summer if they or anything continues to bite her. All blankets are getting washed and dried on super high heat. Dryers should be on high for at least 90 minutes. Pull the bed away from the wall. Inspect the bed with a flashlight, looking in all cracks and edging. I did not find any, but I was looking for a small apple seed that was either hiding or crawling. I bagged everything in plastic bags and made the garbage bags airtight with Ikea 700.832.52 Bevara Sealing clip, assorted colors, assorted sizes, 30-pack and then brought them down to be washed, dried, baked or frozen. Vacuumed everything and threw away the bag. From now on, we will freeze, wash & dry, or bake anything that comes back from a camp with a dormitory. ... show more

  • Loving them so far.
Size: Queen Style: Mattress Encasement
I do tend to keep a very clean house. Recently, my brother was helping us with some new construction on our house, and each day he would go take a nap in whatever bed he was closest to. Well, he had bed bugs in his own apartment, and I guess he didn't realize what he was doing. We have 3 queen size beds, one full size and we just bought a new king size this past weekend. I found about 5 bugs in one bed, 3 in one, and only one on one, but that is too many, and who knows how many I didn't find. I purchased enough of these encasement's to cover all of the beds, and just reordered for the brand new bed to keep it from being contaminated. I only ordered 2 pillow cases, for the expensive pillows that are made of memory foam because they can not go in the dryer. All of the rest of the pillows can be put on high heat and should be fine. I read hundreds of reviews before deciding on this brand. Now, I can not speak yet on how well they will last long term, but I can say that they arrived in fantastic shape, no rips or problems with stitching or anything bad that I could see, other than one pillow case is messed up on the final enclosure of the zipper. I should return it, but that is too much of a hassle. I found them to be super simple to install. The zipper has to be zipped the rest of the way, then unzip it fully. Slide it over one end of the mattress with the bunched side to the back, smooth side to the front. Having help lifting the mattress is nice, but it can be done alone if you are creative. I did the king size mattress and each half of the box springs completely by myself and found it to be easier than the beds my son helped me with. Slide it and position it and start zipping. The bunchy part to the back pulls the front nice and smooth. I did use extra padding when enclosing the box springs to prevent sharp edges. There can't be any openings if you want bed bug protection. So far, there have been no more bites. I truly pray this takes care of the problem without it getting any worse. I did spray the bed frames down with rubbing alcohol and I have some more cleaning and inspecting to do. I have also been rewashing and/or running all bedding through the dryer for at least 30 minutes each, and trying to move treated items to a separate area to prevent re-contamination. Bed bugs are just such a gross thought, but they can happen no matter how clean you are. As far as comfort, I would compare the feel of these closely to parachute pants. There is a tiny bit of sound, but not bothersome at all. It does allow sheet corners to slide off more easily, if you have a husband like mine, that can't sit on the bed without popping off the sheets. The only thing I find weird is when I get out of bed, I can see and hear air going back into the encasement. I guess my body weight squishes the air out, and when I get up, it re-inflates itself. I haven't noticed any extra heat, but it is winter time right now. I think once the bug scare is over-with, I will put my thick mattress protector covers back on top of these, for the extra cushioning and then I doubt I will notice these are even there. ... show more
