I am always so skeptical about buying a mattress online with the fear of what to do if I have to return it! DO NOT FEAR WITH THIS MATTRESS. It is wonderful. It was easy to unbox, it expanded perfectly (even the corners) and it is exactly what I was expecting as far as the pressure I selected (I got medium). The memory foam isn't too soft or too firm and I have been sleeping super hard since day 1 of sleeping on it. My husband who has back issues and normally prefers a firm mattress will lay on my side (we just have twins put together) and say "wow this is so comfortable" and then I have to tell him to get back on his side hahaha. I have nothing but great things to say about this mattress. For the price point, I feel like I have gotten my moneys worth out of it. I've only had it a few months so I'm not sure how many months or years I will get out of it, but right now I don't really care because I am sleeping great and my back doesn't hurt. Full disclosure, I have previously slept on a partially deflated and incredibly smooshy Sleep Number bed for 20+ years so I’m probably not coming at this new mattress with a proper mindset! I like soft and cushy (soggy?) beds and I should have looked for something that was truly plush. That being said, we have a few of the Lucid mattresses at our lake home and they were great value for the money and have held up well. So this was a no brainer- the mattress arrived on time and I let it inflate and air out for about three days. No toxic odor or off gassing. Overall, it’s great, just not as soft as I would have liked. The word ‘plush’ isn’t really an accurate descriptor. I might buy a down feather bed topper and see if that helps. Other than that, the bed is good and I’m sleeping ok. ... show more

    • Second time I've bought a Lucid brand bed!

I recently decided to give myself an upgrade from the Lucid twin XL size I purchased a few years ago. While the XL is still going strong, I wanted something a bit bigger for my new space. So, I went with the same 10" model I had bought before, but this time around I choose a full-sized firm mattress verses XL medium feel I own. Overall, I am very impressed with the firm feel! It has a little give (~1/2 - 3/4") when you lay down, but not enough to make you sink into the bed like the medium one (~1" or more). Also, it's been much better on my back as I'm tossing and turning significantly less than I did on the twin XL one. As for the packaging of the mattress, it was really easy to pop the tape off that was holding it together with my hands. I found it easy to unroll vacuum bag the mattress came in and get it setup before I opened it all the way. The vacuum bag was even easier to open than the previously purchased one, which made it very simple to use. It had a pressed seam that ran along the entire bottom and it was really easy to pull apart and exposed the bottom half of the mattress. It began to inflate instantly and I flipped it over to remove the packaging from the top half. I waited about 9 hours for it to fully inflate with air before I even tried to lay out it. The corners haven't fully released but they will come out over the next 24-36 hours like it did on the other one I own and completely fill out the cover its wrapped in. If you have pets of any kind pet(s) that shed, I suggest getting an additional barrier as their hair/fur will seep into the protective cloth layer and it will make cleaning it a nightmare. As for cleaning my mattress, I lightly sprinkle some baking soda on the Lucid cloth covering and wait a couple hours. Then, I use a pet brush attachment on my vacuum to pull up the remaining baking soda until it smells fresh again. You can (optionally) spray a lite amount of Febreeze on the covering and let that dry for a scented smell. Personally, I think lavender works well here and I spray it on my pillow coverings as well. It helps me calm down and the bed smells great for months! ... show more

I got this bed, let it stand alone for over 48 hours. Placed a mattress protector on it, and used it since. There mattress isn’t as plush I would like but it slept pretty decent. I just took the protector off to wash it today and there is mold! I had a bigger spot but I sprayed bleach like a crazy person because I can’t afford a new mattress. I’ve been using foam mattresses for almost 7 years and never encountered this problem. So upset. This is the first really expensive one I bought too. Just fair warning ... show more
