Easy to assemble. At first, I got frustrated not being able to make the hydraulics work but, remember to remove the black cap that covers the steel connector (as shown in their video). Right after I did that, the hydraulics still did not work. But! After few hours, it DID! I think you just need to wait till the (compressed) air to fill in the cylinder for the hydraulics to work! I have to say, for the price point, I didn’t have high expectations despite the great reviews since things like this are often subjective based on our preferences. THESE STOOLS ARE AMAZING! I love the low back so it doesn’t block the view at all. They swivel smoothly. They raise and lower smoothly. We have had them for two months and they’re still perfect. With two young kids that use them roughly they still seem brand new. They’re extremely easy to clean which is just so awesome. They have such a sleek, understated look that they provide the perfect amount of pop without being overwhelming.
