I purchased the 16’x12’ black pergola from the Fansa Furn store here on Amazon, hoping for a great addition to our backyard. While the pergola itself looks nice once assembled, the overall experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. First, assembly took about 8 hours, and required help from another person for most of the time. Instructions were fine, but several specialty screws wouldn’t thread properly into one of the main horizontal beams, which meant a trip to the hardware store to find a workaround. The bigger issue: two of the roof louvers were completely missing from the package. I contacted Amazon customer service expecting a simple solution, like having the missing parts shipped. Instead, I was transferred three times before being told I could either return the entire pergola (already almost fully built), or accept a partial refund. I told the agent I needed to speak with my wife before making a decision, and they assured me the notes would be saved to my account. When I called back two hours later, I was told that offer no longer stood and my only option was to return the entire pergola or keep it incomplete. No replacement parts were available. After investing the time, effort, and coordination to get it assembled, I chose to keep it — but I deeply regret that decision. Looking back, I would not have spent this much on a product that didn’t come complete, with no real solution from Amazon. I also don’t feel like Amazon stood by what their customer service initially offered. There are other options out there — I’ve since found similar and potentially better-rated pergolas on Wayfair. Bottom line: The product looks decent once up, but the experience getting there was not worth it. Buyer beware.

The pergola pictured is not the one you'll recieve. The pictured unit has one solid piece that goes between each support beam but the unit delivered has multiple pieces that are put together to make one beam. The slats are not flat like pictured but curved and do not fit together well when closed. Many of my slats came bent due to poor shipping. The bases of each footing is different and the rain drains are not cut out but release rain at the bottom of the beam. Overall a poor product marketed with different pictures. Also the last louver in each row doesn't open for some random reason. Buyer Beware.

The media could not be loaded. The build quality and functionality is a great value. It took me and my husband about 4 hours for assembly. We ran into some difficulties when it was time to add the cross bars (a 3rd person would have solved the issue). This is the 2nd pergola. We had to return the 1st one we ordered due to missing parts. Make sure you have all of the parts before starting assembly

This pergola has excited me so much. The quality looks very good. I believe it is durable because it is much better than the one I bought before. I encountered a little problem during assembly. Without hesitation, I sent an email to the customer service. They were very professional and answered my question very quickly. It's definitely worth buying!
