I use half of the magenta tube along with half oof the red (same brand) and mix with 2.4 ounces of loreal white volume 30 developer. Add in a couple drops of Agran oil to moisturizer the hair along with red, red sealant, leave it on 30 minutes and rinse off. It's done. (I have naturally deep dark ash brown-a good color on some but it makes me look like one of the walking dead. I have lots of gray anymore, too and this covers that ugly stuff right up) Who wants to be gray if you don't have to? I'm getting old enough without looking in the mirror and seeing that looking back at me. This wonderful colorant I hope never goes out of production because what the heck would I do? It gives me the most beautiful magenta-red violet-blazing hot deep red with just enough light flame red to set me apart from everyone else out there. If you like bright color and have dark brown hair, even with gray in it-and you don't want to spend an hour or two or three working on your hair, then this is the product to try. I've been using it for four years now and I love it just as much today as I did the first time. Oh, yeah, the magenta gives my red a pinkish-violet color mainly noticeable out in the sun or under bright lights. Usually use box die since going to get it done feels like a fortune I’ve always hated that I have to die it every 2 months but with this one after 2 months my hair still looks amazing as my nail lady said. “Wow I wouldn’t of known it looks like it was just done” color is bright and beautiful

Came fast instructions was easy to follow used 30 volume developer colored really good on my hair I’m African American and the color is pretty don’t know about longevity because only had in 4 days it’s just my scalp is a little irritated afterwards so beware of that

I had just purchased a 20 volume developer and tub of bleach because I wanted to go bold & bright. I didn't even know this stuff existed, but I'm glad I found it before I did the bleaching! I had box dye on with a couple of inches of regrowth, so whoever says it can't be done over previously colored hair, it's simply not true. I have been coloring my hair at home for years and I didn't find this to be any harder or messier to use. I didn't even think the smell was that bad compared to some others that I've used in the past. I mixed it with a 20 volume developer because I didn't want to go too harsh if I didn't have to. I used a bottle that I bought from Sally to do the measuring and then poured it into a little tub to mix with the tube of color. I started away from my roots and brushed the color on. Once I got a good bit on my hair, I brushed it on my regrowth and then used my fingers to mix it in good. One tube of color was enough to do my whole head. I let it on for between 30-35 minutes. Rinsed it in cool water until the water ran clear. Then, I used a sulfate free shampoo & hydrating conditioner mask. I love the results! My hair is just as healthy looking as it was before I colored it. ... show more
