  • A good buy - seems to work well.
Easy to use, good battery life - seems to repel mice and insects. Even with baited traps out, have not seen evidence of mice in my garage since I put this in place.

  • Works as advertised!
So, I’d heard about rodents eating wiring harnesses on vehicles, but I had never experienced it myself… until just recently. My ‘21 Tacoma had only been parked for two days, and when my wife went to drive it, she immediately noticed a check engine light on the dash. We brought it to the dealership and learned that a rodent had chewed on the wiring harness that goes to the sensors and electronics along the top part of the engine. It had chewed through the harness to the point where several sensors had become completely disconnected. The service advisor recommended peppermint oil based sprays and electronic pest repellers as countermeasures. This item popped up on my Amazon search and it was reasonably priced, so I decided to try it. It was easy to setup and install. I chose to mount it to the underside of the hood, right near the area where the harness was previously chewed. It’s been on the truck for almost a month now and so far so good. Can’t say if it’s due to this device or the peppermint oil spray, but my suggestion is to use both. It’s way cheaper than replacing the engine harness, which came out to almost $1700! Luckily my comprehensive covered it and I only had to come out of pocket for the deductible. Anyway, it seems like this product works, so give it a try if you’re having pest issues. Also, it doesn’t seem to bother my dog at all, which was a concern since it emits an ultrasonic tone. ... show more

  • Perfect!!
The media could not be loaded. I was skeptical about this little device but did a lot of research before purchasing and I have to say I am very pleased with it! I have had it for about 2 weeks now and have had no mice activity since installed. It has an option to put in the trunk or in the main area of the vehicle. I chose inside the main area closer to my engine where most of the mouse activity had been. (I have a Fiat 500 so my engine area is very small and no room for the device.) I have tk day I am very pleased with my purchase! Thank you! ... show more

  • It works and AA batteries lasted 3 months
There was a huge pile of nutshells right where I placed the device on my engine (see pic). I vacuumed most away. I am pretty sure it was from mice infestation, not rats, though there definitely are rats running all around the yard and neighborhood at night. They are endemic here in this dreamland suburbia. Happy and fat, too. I put the alarm in my Prius on January 26. I rarely drive this car, it's a back-up car. I drive it maybe once a week. I check the device every few weeks by opening the hood and switching to the TEST mode which gives off a sound and a few beeps to let me know it is still working. Also, it may be helpful to know that there were a lot of rainstorms this Winter and my car is kept in the driveway. No function issues with the device relating to the wet weather. And it has been 100% effective! Zero nuts or evidence of return of the mice. Before this device, I would use the peppermint spray that I bought on Amazon every couple of weeks. What a pain. It did nothing to stop them, btw. Today I was walking by my car (April 28) and I heard this unusual beep. I realized it was the device signaling that the battery needed to be replaced. So the three AAA batteries lasted exactly 3 months in this car that I rarely drive. So happy with all of that! I waited to write about the device until I knew how long the battery would last so that this review would have some value to you folks out there. Good luck. UPDATE July 22nd, 3 months later: Again walking by the Prius I heard the beep indicating a low battery. Easy swap out of the 3 AA batteries. (My original message said AAA batteries which was incorrect and I corrected it now.) So it looks like this little device needs a battery swap out every 3 months. Again, I use this car infrequently, so I don't know how that affects the battery life. I am happy to report still no return of mice! Yay! New updated pic added today. ... show more

  • Don't think it works
Saw mice dropping in my RV. I ordered and put one of these in. Also poison, 2 mouse traps and a "Victor Tin Cat". The poison was eaten, the traps killed 2 mice, and there were 10 in the Tin Cat the next day. And 5 in the Tin Cat the following day (that Tin Cat is awesome). I then cleaned evertthing out and drove the camper to a new location. The Tin Cat had another one today. So I don't think the Sonic thing does anything at all ... show more

  • No more mice under my hood!!!
This product works! Only thing I don't like is that it is constantly going off. You can hear it and it's a bit annoying. I've had people at work ask me if I know my car is making a weird noise and another thinking it was going to blow up. When in a public parking lot people walking by stop and wonder what the heck is wrong with my car. I'm not sure if this is normal that it's constantly making a noise. BUT it did scare the mice away. ... show more

  • Seems to work!
We park on a crowded city street, we frequently see rats running around after dark. This past fall we had 2 instances of rodents doing damage to our car that required repairs. Since installing this about 4 months ago we've had no issues... My guess is that it annoys them enough that they leave our car alone and go to a different car that's near by. I changed the battery once as per recommendation. I used lithium AAs. The thing was still making noises when I turned on test mode when I went to change it. So I set my reminder to 75 days going forward. ... show more

  • Ultrasonic under hood pest control for RV
We received the package with the ultrasonic pest control device. It included zip ties, which I didn't realize it would have. You just have to add 3 2AA batteries and start the device. It was easy to hook up onto a firm structure under the hood. Feel a little more peace of mind knowing this is working in the engine area. ... show more
