My first review of this I was skeptical if this worked. It says in the ad that it only works if it has a clear view of the sky. But I put mine inside of my trailer so it’s hidden. At first it wasn’t tracking when it was parked so I thought it didn’t work. But we just took it on a 2.5 hour drive through the mountains and once it started moving, it was tracking the whole trip! So now I am pleasantly surprised that this tracking device works and I look forward to someone stealing my trailer again and catching them! I definitely did not want to put this on the roof for someone to see, it’s buried deep in the back of some cabinets so a thief is not going to find it before I find them!

The media could not be loaded. I have a trailer rental company. I first ordered the Oyster tracking device 2years ago. I now use these exclusively for my rental fleet. I have the subscription that provides 5 minute updates when the trailer is moving. For me the batteries last about 9 -10 months (about 17,000 miles). I am sent an alert when the battery drops below 30%. They also offer a 1 hour update subscription that will increase the battery life. This would be perfect for individuals that have an RV parked in storage for several months. *** UNPARALLELED SERVICE *** The customer support is unmatched in my experience. They are very knowledgeable about their devices and the tracking software. If your trailer is (“knocks wood”) stolen, 30 second updates are just a phone call away. Durable product with accurate tracking. I use this on multiple trailers, allows you to keep track of mileage and service hours. Shows routes and updates location every 1 minute or 5 minute. This product would get 5 stars if it was able to show vehicle or object speed. Works with Google Maps and is accurate within 10-30ft. Battery life is better than most other brands.

This is the second tracking device I’ve ever purchased and I love it! The first one I purchased had to have the batteries constantly recharged, it lasted two weeks at best. This LoneStar tracker uses lithium batteries and can last years without being changed out. The mobile app is very user friendly and easy to use. The monthly subscription is a decent price. I used this tracker inside of a car and did not use magnets. The customer service and technical support from this company is outstanding. They always answer their phones and always answer my questions and resolve my issues, even teaching me how to use the features on the app. I highly recommend this company and this tracker without any hesitation.

So far so good. Wasn’t sure if this would work in the mountains. It often loses the signal, but it keeps reporting in. When it’s moved at all it reports and tracks really nicely. Great app. Battery life is great. No complaints.

By far the worst tracking system I have put on a vehicle. Installation is simple, obviously as it’s battery powered. This gps loses signal constantly, and for hours at a time. It thinks my asset is somewhere it was previously hours ago. Stopped. Driving. It doesn’t matter. I’ve moved the unit to various locations and with no success. There is no way I could reasonably expect to find my assets with this gps systems unreliable service. I’ll be sending in my return.
