This product is basically exactly as advertised, and a good value (possibly an excellent one if it stays below thirty dollars, as it was when I ordered). I got it in the wine red, which is a rich color accented with grey piping that matches the product pictures. This is indeed water resistant, and I think thoughtfully designed: there are waterproof flaps over the zippers, it has elastic goring at the wrists, a high zippered neck with drawstrings, and drawstring at the bottom hand to cinch closed against rain. The hood is moderately deep; I could put it up over a ponytail. This is water resistant, but not waterproof (which again, is as advertised), as the seams are not sealed from the inside, and there’s no waterproof inner liner. If you wore this in pouring rain, eventually it would soak through. In light drizzle or for quick showers, this remains a great, packable, lightweight, and low cost option. I am 5’4”and normally a size 14, with a large bust and apple tummy and a short torso (lucky me, I know). I got this in a size large and it fell to mid thigh on me and was still quite roomy (easily layered sweaters beneath) without feeling bulky.

This LOMON polyester shell jacket should be thought of as a windbreaker or as a water-resistant hard shell. While it has waterproof zippers on the chest and side pockets, and while the fabric does bead water very well, it does not have a waterproof membrane and will, eventually, soak through. It is not a traditional softshell, as it does not have a soft liner, and has no stretch. The pockets are a bit small. The chest pocket fits my 6.1" iPhone just fine, but would be a tight squeeze for something larger. The side pockets are a tight fit for my hands if I have gloves on. The fabric and stitching quality of the jacket are good. No loose threads and all the seams are well-finished. The hardware quality, however, is mid. You can see in my photo how the zipper hardware is very thin and lightweight. Similarly, the waist and neck pullstrings are very thin, and their stop hardware feels cheap. The tailoring/design of the jacket leaves me... unexcited. And that's my fault. As you can see in the product photos, there is no tapering at the waist and no flare at the hips; the jacket's body is just a straight tube. The neck opening is large and tall and was often rubbing my chin. Do pay attention to the size chart. The fit of the small is larger than I had anticipated. I'm really torn on my star rating for this jacket. I'm not a huge fan of it, but it's also decent quality, but will never be confused for a product in the $50 price category.

This jacket is really nice, I wish it was waterproof, that would be even better but at least it is resistant against light rain. The quality is good and it is light weight. It protects well against wind as well. It is true to size, I have the size S, and it fits very well , I am 5'3 , 36/29/33. What it totally love about this jacket is that it has gigantic inside pockets on both sides, I can fit my Hand and almost my entire forearm in them! It also has 2 big outside side pockets and a smaller pocket at the chest. All those 3 have water proof zippers. The main zipper is waterproof too. The bottom of the jacket has a draw string which comes in handy to keep the wind out. The jacket comes with a pouch, which is convenient and space saving.

Usually when buying womens close the fit is always a size different. In this case fit is exactly as it is stated. This fits my wife a little big when usually an xl fits perfect in jacket terms. I can wear this jacket and I'm 6ft tall with an athletic build. It is very comfortable. It hasn't rained where we are at in a few months but the monsoons will be here soon and this will work perfect for her. It rolls up nice into a color matching bag for easy storage. We tried to tear the fabric with some force and it held up to our tugging and poking with fingers. The Lomon jacket has plenty of pockets for stuff and built in hood. Very nice rain jacket.

The Pros: well made, finished seams, invisible zippers, hood, two side zip pockets, chest zipper pocket, two inside 12” deep slide in pockets, long for rain coverage (size small approximately 28” long), hood and bottom hem adjustable, side grey panels give a slimming effect, yellow color is visible for safety, excellent price, water resistant The cons: not 100% waterproof I’m 5’, 115 lbs with no curves and wide shoulders and the size Small was roomy and covered my rear. I usually wear a Small or Medium but the loose fit was fine with the Small. The jacket is comfortable and the grey sides give a slimming effect. The yellow color is good for visibility when out walking or hiking, particularly at night. Recommend sizing down if you’re between sizes.

So my bad, I accidentally ordered a large when I meant to order a medium, so it's a little oversized on me. But that's my fault. I'm 5'6" and about 130lbs and the large is obviously quite roomy. On the plus side, it means I can put it over a bulky item like a sweatshirt if needed. Also, there are elastic pulls on the bottom hem so you can cinch it tighter/closer to your body. I do like the vibrancy of the purple - it's not a subtle purple! And it's long enough to fully cover your waist and butt area. It's very lightweight but in an intentional way rather than a "cheap" way though I wouldn't say it's a very "expensive feeling" raincoat, it is the kind of thing I can use here in Florida for rain protection without a lot of added warmth.

Got this in wine red color. Fits wife nice. Has draw strings, too, if you feel you need to pull it in at the hip area. Stood up well in the rain. This is not a heavy jacket, think of it as a windbreaker rain jacket. Super easy five stars.
