I have tried a couple of different brand palm vein locks and there was always something missing, either very slow to read your palm and slow to unlock (Wyze) or the app was awful and tye lock didn’t know if the door was closed or not (TCL) this Lockin locks do not suffer from any of those issues, it’s an easy 10 minute install, 0.2 second palm recognition, works with dirty or wet hands. Other pros: Rechargeable lithium battery, Supports WiFi & Matter for integration with Google Home and Alexa, Extremely fast, secure, and accurate palm vein entry. Easy, well-guided installation. Solid high-end build quality. This smart door lock is insane. I wanted to get this primarily for the palm vein feature to unlock as that was the feature I wanted the most. Installation was not too bad; it required some wood chiseling in the area where my door frame strikebox was to achieve a better fit. The deadbolt and interior/exterior installation were very easy. The battery charges pretty quickly and has lasted well so far. Setting up the app was very easy, and calibrating the deadbolt was straightforward. Adding the palm vein feature for everyone was a smooth process. It unlocks quickly and locks securely afterwards. I appreciate the various options that the app offers for the lock settings and alarm. I am considering getting the camera version for my front main door in the near future. I would definitely recommend this smart lock, especially given the price.

The palm recognition feature is incredible and easily outperforms any other unlocking method I’ve used. It’s extremely accurate, and both locking and unlocking are lightning fast. Like most smart locks, it uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. While 5 GHz support would be nice in the future, this isn’t really an issue—most modern routers allow you to split bands or create a dedicated IoT network, making setup simple and reliable. The design is sleek and modern, and the build quality is excellent. The lock feels solid, heavy, and very well made, giving you confidence that it’s built to last. Considering the features, performance, and build quality, the value absolutely justifies the price. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-end smart lock with advanced unlocking technology, I highly recommend this one.

This lock had everything I wanted on paper, and one of the best price-points for a smart lock, so I purchased two units. Palm unlock is remarkably reliable and is faster than using a fingerprint, code, or especially fumbling with keys. I honestly never even tried the fingerprint after setup because the palm scan is just my go-to. It's great to be able to unlock without thinking about it when juggling the kid, dog, or groceries. Fit and finish seems high quality too w/ metal and glass on the exterior portion. Battery life seems good as well, been going for 6 weeks of multiple times daily usage on ~14% battery (including setup, wifi, thread, etc). So I'm guessing ~10 months @ 10% per month before needing to do a charge overnight. Nice thing is having a physical key backup for that time. Install was just as easy as any other smart lock, and components seem robust. The keyway is Schlage SC-1, so I was easily able to swap key pins and re-key to my other door lock, which was nice. App functionality is fine, good customization, and they have improved it (extending time before auto-lock to be up to a half-hour) via firmware update. Thread compatibility is nice, so it integrates with my smart-home network (Google Home/Home Assistant) super easily. One unit out of the box had an issue with "locking up" (pun intended). It would show in the app that it unlocked or locked, but the knob wouldn't even try to turn. It would often eventually unfreeze, but that was frustrating. Fortunately support walked me through a simple troubleshooting process, then shipped us a replacement and a prepaid packing label for the return. New one (and the second unit I had purchased initially) is flawless. No stars removed since support was so good (and any product is going to have a lemon sometimes). Now my only issue is that my door is up a couple steps so I have to extend my arm up to 'heil' my door for it to unlock. It doesn't look so bad if I hold my hand sideways though, so that's easy to live with. If anything I think they should release another version w/o fingerprint & keypad so it is more compact. Not that I plan on buying one again sometime soon.
