These are an amazing set of roof racks for the Equinox EV. Considering the cost of these racks, i was expecting these to feel cheap but that is not the case here. The mounts are solid and compares to OE racks. The bar is shaped to cut through air with channels in the leading edge to limit wind noise. It functions well and had the chance to use it with my cargo rack. There is some room for adjustability and this is light weight. This works so much better and rides so much quieter that my other more expensive racks. Overall, this is a great value for the money!

I installed these crossbars on my 2025 Equinox EV RS, and overall I’m pretty happy with them — though getting them on wasn’t as simple as I expected. The instructions were a bit confusing, especially in step one. It took me a while to realize that the plastic cover has a built-in lock that needs to be released first. Another thing missing was torque specs. Since the small steel bolts go into what seems like aluminum, it’s important to tighten them just right — not too loose, not too tight — and the manual didn’t mention that at all. Once I got everything installed, though, the bars looked great and felt very solid. There’s a bit of wind noise when driving on highway, but nothing major. I like that they’re aerodynamic and clearly labeled front and back, which makes alignment easy. Overall, I’d say these crossbars are well-built and look sharp, but the instructions could definitely use an upgrade.

Solid metal bars with real locking caps that don’t feel cheap. Install is straightforward, fits flush, and doesn’t whistle at highway speeds. Perfect upgrade for hauling luggage or storage pods.

The media could not be loaded. Installation was a bit of a pain due to the poor instructions. Step 1 had me stumped for some time until I figured out you had to unlock the plastic cover - the lock is part of the plastic cover, not the tower itself. You think that would be in the instructions. Also, no torque specifications are provided, and with these little steel bolts going into (what i think is) aluminum, you have to have the correct torque so you don't strip them, and also so they are tight enough to stay. I could have lived with that, I did some quick research and came up with some ad-hoc torques to use on my 1/4" click-style torque wrench. If I had kept them, I would have used Loctite on the screws securing the cross bars to the towers. Once I got them installed on the wife's Equinox EV, they seemed very sturdy and looked good. Got a high-five for the wife, she was excited to put on the SUP carrier and head out to the beach when the opportunity came. We went out for dinner, however, and the noise level was absolutely unacceptable. Check out the video, it was ridiculous how loud it was. The cross bars are "aerodynamic" as opposed to circular or square, and they have a different front and back. The front bar and the back bar are different, and they come with stickers on each bar telling you which bar it is and which direction it is supposed to face. Mine were installed as specified. We're still in the market for some good quiet ones, these ones aren't them.

Installation was straightforward, and the cross bars feel very solid. I tested them today with my kayaks at the lake, and they held up perfectly. There’s a little bit of wind noise at times, but it’s minimal. I appreciate the lockable feature and sturdy aluminum construction—it gives me confidence that my gear stays secure.
