We purchased this because we were going on a trip and wanted to make sure our Guinea pig had enough food before they got checked on. This held plenty of food and worked great. The only downside is that it is easy to tip over and often does causing the food to spill out all over the cage.

Bought these for my rabbits. They hold about 3 days of water for one rabbit. Very easily grows slime. The lid can be hard to get on the watering side. I just wish they had a fastener to hold it to the side of the cage so they couldn't dump over as easy.

Use for my pet rabbit who is always shedding and her the water in her metal bowl I was using gets dirty within a few hours. Since this put clean water in automatically each time she drinks, I do NOT have to change the water but every 2-3 days. It is easy to clean and put back together. Also, do NOT use a bottle for rabbits. They hate it.

Great product. Filled two weeks ago and is just now past the half empty point. My only problem is my pets habits. I have two dumbo rats and they like to hide their food. They tend to take anything that’s loose in their house and use it to cover their food.. this causes the food to stop coming out. I have to go in every couple of days to uncover it and shake the food out into the dish. I as hoping they could use this while I was on vacation next month without me needing to have a sitter so that’s why I only gave 4 stars

It works well, but screwing the top onto the jar is a test of patience. The threading is not right or something. It’s pretty light and my bunny kept knocking it over so I wired it to the side of his exercise pen.
