I was very happy with the sound and quality of these claves. The tone is traditional and exactly what I was looking for. A shade lighter than the picture. Nice varnish finish. Much louder than rosewood. Huge sweet spot in comparison to any previous claves that I've used. It has nice resonance to my ears. Very forgiving with regard to hand position. It's very good.

Great looking finish, but the "clicking" sounds vary when you hit them in different places. However, when you "find" the right sound, they sound great!

The Claves have a clear and rich sound that is usable either in studio or on a professional set. I also tried the cheaper model LP Clave and it’s not worth the money. Spend the extra bucks and get this one.

Use these in my classroom. Probably not what most people use them for but they are easy to hold, easy to control and change their volume. Good quality. I hit them pretty hard and there are very few dents if any.

Good tone, sound carries well. I am but a lowly church musician who gifted our drummer with these to expand her options, but they are beautiful, don’t look like gradeschool rhythm sticks, and get us into the Latin beat in a snap
