Not 3 inch at all. Lie easy said 3 inch but even at fattest part they are not. The top where the solar bar is is 2 inch. HOWEVER, they lighted up fine tonight and are pretty. Just not big enough to be seen from the road which is what I bought them for. Wanted to mount to my farm sign like I have done with orange ones in the past but these too tiny. Cute, nice color but too small. Don't believe the proportions as diagrammed. Still depends on what you want and they are ok. Not sending back. Price was cheap enough. Will just keep looking for bigger ones which are hard to find in purple.

These are so worth it. Spooky purple flickering candle effect gives my Halloween decor just what I need. The scrollwork is pretty, but not very visible unless you're close. Super easy to put together, but just make sure you unscrew the top to turn the switch to 'on'. Solar charge works great. Come evening, they glow really well. They are not super bright, but that's what I wanted.

I used these solar lights for Halloween to highlight some yard decor and I got many compliments on them... the purple "glow" was really pretty .... may use them during the Xmas season as well !! Easy to assemble and set out !!

My first delivery came with no stakes at all. I returned and requested a replacement to be sent. Same issue!! Not only that, but the lights don't even light up. They've been in the sun charging up but nothing happens. Waste of money don't bother
