  • Excellent for Money/Excellent Customer Service
Style: U20 40V Brushless Snow Shovel 12''
Powerful battery snow shovel which actually throws the snow over 20 feet. Used for first time after wet snowfall of between 2 - 3 inches. Extremely easy to assemble. Did entire driveway and front stoop and still had 50 percent left in battery. In addition batteries can be used as a power pack. Also weight was not a problem. I ordered a battery charger from company and FedEx lost the order. After contacting customer service, they immediately contacted me and sent a replacement. I truly appreciate great customer service. Also just a side note on individuals who state batteries do not keep a charge. In cold weather, like Wisconsin, keep the batteries inside; then, you get the lasting time I have experienced as my driveway can old 6 parked cars--obviously back to back. ... show more

  • Mixed feelings but waiting for Customer Service Dept. to answer...
Style: U20 40V Brushless Snow Shovel 13''
I gave it a 1 star because last week was the first snow of the season. The snow was heavy and around 3-4 inches deep well below the 6 in. threshold of the snow shovel. While the shoveling, the handle (auxiliary handle and the auxilary handle clamp) that's what Litheli calls it broke. The gears/teeth are made of plastic and the left side of the handle and bracket broke. Once this happened it was very difficult to use the shovel it made the shovel flimsy. The next 3 days it snowed. The 2nd and 3rd time it was fluffy and not heavy approx. 2 in. and the shovel picked up the snow perfectly. The handle gears/teeth were still broken on the left side but it didn't feel as flimsy as the 1st day of shoveling. The shovel is heavy and you'll feel it when the snow is heavy but when the snow is fluffy, the weight of the shovel doesn't feel heavy. I would've given it probably 4-4.5 stars if the handle gear & bracket didn't break. I wouldn't give it 5 stars because to keep the shovel on, the button needs to be pressed the entire time and it gets tiring and frustrating (when the snow is heavy) to keep it pressed. The switch should have a "locked on" position so you can use both hands freely while shoveling. Customer Service - I called and was only allowed to leave a message because it was after hours. The recording and website insist to email them with your concerns so I did that too early this morning. I just called again, I received a recording that their system is down indefinitely and they're working on it. It's possible but it felt more on the shady side. I bought this product on 11/13 and used it for the 1st time last week and the gear/teeth to the handle broke and waiting for Customer Service to get back to me. I'll will update this post accordingly. ... show more

  • Surprised by the usability!
Style: U20 40V Brushless Snow Shovel 13''
Very surprised by the overall power. It did a great job for the first snow of the season. The battery lasted longer than i wanted to clean off snow. I really thought this was not going to be worth much but now I plan to buy another for a Christmas present. Quality snowblower thing that diffently beats the shovel. ... show more

  • Engineering Flaw to the Handles
Style: U20 40V Brushless Snow Shovel 13''
I'm giving this a 3-star rating because of a design flaw to the secondary support handle to save your back; but overall, this is a great product that does not disappoint, especially the directional diverter blades on the how the snow is being thrown. The engineer should've made the groove that the secondary handle is designed to adjust on the upper portion of the main shaft handle on the lower portion of the shaft too. This way you can move the secondary handle onto the lower portion of the shaft and adjust down further for better weight distribution of the tool, making it balanced for shorter people (I'm 5' 4"). I did manage to move the secondary handle onto the lower portion of the main shaft handle to find a balanced position for myself to save my back. However, I plan on buying an additional secondary handle for better support and moving the included secondary handle back to the upper portion of the main shaft handle for helping with the plow motion of the tool. ... show more

  • Did it's Job :)
This is for the 14 inch model. I gave it a five as it did everything it advertised. As another reviewer stated, it is heavy of course due to the extra width. I'm 5'9 and I found raising the handle higher and using the stock against my shoulder worked best for me. Less fatigue. I was able to clear 6 inches, 4 car drive and a sidewalk with no issues. A shovel would of taken me double the time. It's not a replacement, but an extra tool to relieve lifting and tossing. For charging I used an Anker Prime 100 Watt wall charger, safe on both ends. After I'm done I pop the batteries out and and towel dry them as they aren't sealed in the unit. For those new to snow blowing, always go with the wind-not against, lol ... show more

  • ...have to remember, it's a shovel
Style: 20V Snow Shovel 13''
Works beautifully. But the wetter the snow, the easier it clogs and stops, and you'll want to make sure the areas to be cleared are rocks and debris free before the snow falls. Aside from that, it's a great product. When it's wet and a bit deep, do a slight back and forth motion to keep it from stopping. You will need at least a second battery, depending on how many different locations you clear. It lasts long enough for one driveway but deep, wet snow or rocks will stop it and the more it stops the faster the battery will deplete. My only criticism is the it only throws snow forward, there is no way to throw it to the left or right. This is a problem that makes it unusable facing your house/building unless you want to splat snow all over it. You will most definitely get your steps in walking back to the starting point. This is best for steps and walkways up by the house/building. If you have large areas to clear, an actual snow blower is recommended. ... show more
