This is a very sturdy ladder. Made of aluminum, it won't rust or rot. It is way sturdier too. I didn't realize how shaky my old ladder was until getting this one. It has a nice heavy duty top step ( or platform). The top is large too. Easy to balance on. Nice heavy duty rubber feet. Fiberglass struts. It is light too.
