I love a good pea coat, they're timeless & always have a way of elevating your look. This coat is no exception. I've stuck with black for years so I was excited to try the brown. I'd say it's a "copper brown" type of hue in person. I'm happy with it, the color is very similar to the listing photos. I took photos at different times of day to give you an impression of what it looks like under natural light. In my photos I'm either wearing a tank top or t-shirt & the coat fit comfortably. The problem I see arising is that there's minimal to no room for any type of bulk. You're not getting this on with a chunky sweater unless you size up. I personally don't want to size up because I like the line a fitted peacoat gives, the tapered waist is flattering for just about everyone & I don't want to lose that/swap it for a boxier fit. Having said that, I recommend this coat for the in between/transitional weather. We get bad winters where I live so there's no way this jacket would be warm enough for anything other than that regardless of what I could fit under it. It will be a nice fall option.

The issue with clothing seasons is that when items are lower cost, they are out of season. Same is true for this coat - it is in the upper 90s everyday here and I am trying on a winter coat. So, while I cannot speak to how warm it is, I can report that it is a nice coat that looks good. It fits a bit small in the hips which is a problem since it is double breasted and looks better buttoned up. That aside, I like the coat and think it is well made. It is a bit longer so it will help keep your legs warm in the winter. If you are currently looking for a new winter coat, this is a nice choices and it comes in a few color choices so you can pick the one that you like the most.

This pea coat is very nice but it does run small. I wear a large and got an extra large for bulky sweaters , I should of gotten an XX large, the extra large fit like a large on me. I will not be wearing bulky clothes with this coat. The coat is nice and I do like the style, it is very light weight and the material is nice.

It doesn't get too cold here, and this isn't too warm of a coat so it's a perfect match. Quality is about on par with your typical fast fashion mall stores but the price is decently lower at $60 retail - $30 on sale at the time of this review would make it a must pickup. It's a very nice tan, doesn't look as cheap as it is, and thin enough to provide you with the opportunity to dress it up with a blouse or get that athleisure look with a hoodie.

This coat is made of gorgeous fabric and is styled very nicely. But I live in the Midwest, and I know what kind of fabric you need to stave off the cold during those winter months, and this won't cut it. It is a beautiful item for transitional seasons where you should be wearing a coat for fashion, but you don't really need it for warmth. That's where this would be perfect. I also thought it would be a bit larger than it is, so right now it's more of a jacket than a double-breasted coat I can close against the elements. Also, in winter when you'd need a coat, you'll be wearing heavier clothes, which I also failed to take into account. So I would order a size bigger than you really wear to make it a comfortable fit. Nice item, but I wouldn't want to be caught in a snowstorm in it! More fashion than function. Was also surprised at the shoulder pads. Didn't realize we were doing that again. But it does give the thinner fabric some structure. I got the camel colored, and it is beautiful. Would be nice to wear to church or the office.

Just over 10 years ago, I made a leap from Receptionist to Account Manager, and my anxiety was sky high in meeting with a client during my first offsite with my facility’s General Manager. I wore a peacoat similar to this in the dead of winter, and my boss looked at me in their parking lot, and said approvingly, “You wore a different coat.” This stuck with me like indelible ink. She took notice that I dressed differently for the professional occasion. And apparently that is near unheard of these days. This coat is such a bargain. I was a little skeptical at first, as it arrived vacuum sealed and pretty wrinkled, but even in its sad state, it fit perfectly out of the box. I ordered the brown as I’ve learned certain colors just exude more classic styling and confidence than others (and it can hide obvious quality deficiencies), and black can look “cheap” in certain fabrics. This saddle brown color is perfect and adds a little sophistication at a rock bottom price if you’re new to the workforce or on a budget. I am 5’4” and run 155-160lbs, just slightly bottom heavy but otherwise proportional. I ordered a medium. I have had trouble with some longer coats not zipping or closing over my hips/thighs, but have no issues on this. I think because the bottom button is right at the hip line, and then allows for a flare, it is much more flattering and comfortable than a full zip coat. The sleeve hit me perfectly, which is slightly long, at the top of my thumb and therefore gracefully covering the top of my hand. And it’s fully lined, so I think I am going to steam that part as well. The seaming is not that of a coat costing hundreds, so puckers a wee bit, but nothing too awkward or to complain about. And once I pulled out my steamer, I just wanted to shout from the rooftops, What a find! The breastpocket is just for show, but the two hip pockets are functional and deep. I live in the Chicagoland area, so I won’t say this coat would suffice to keep you warm as an everyday coat if you’re commuting with planes, trains and automobiles, but if you’re just chasing from home to driveway and parking lot to building, you’ll be fine in this coat with a good set of gloves, especially if you’re just worried about meetings or special occasions. I’ve always stuck with the devil I knew for retailers that might have something like this, and that’s fine – however this is an online option that you can feel confident is good as well.
