  • Good chairs for the price
Size: Counter Height Color: Red Cherry Wood
I purchased these 2 chairs in Cherry wood color in 2020 but needed Espresso, for the price I didn't want to return them so my mom suggested I spray paint them. PERFECT!!!! I bought the wrong color spray paint 1st but eventually I got the correct color. I already had a counter height pub style table that was Espresso and these chairs worked perfectly. I weigh over 300lbs. and these chairs hold my weight with no problem. I didn't purchase them new I purchased them used all the assembly was included the only thing the original packaging was opened and torn but the box was taped up to hold all the pieces. The only downside to these chairs I can't sit in them long because of my weight but I'm sure if I purchase additional cushions it won't be a problem. They are still sturdy I only had to tighten them up once after I put them together 3 years ago. The original price was over $130 each I bought them for less then $40 each. Good purchase!!! The assembly was a bit confusing but my husband was in my way. I just needed him to tighten them he's not good at putting things together. I would recommend purchasing for the lower cost if you can find them and if they don't have your color spray paint works perfect! ... show more

  • Nearly 4 years old now! Use wood glue as you build it.
Size: Counter Height Color: Red Cherry Wood
This has lasted way better than expected for me. I bought it to go with a wooden drafting desk that didn't come with a chair and have used it almost every day for 4 years now. - When you put it together my best advice is to go back and use wood glue everywhere after assembling it correctly EXCEPT for the screws that hold the seat directly onto the chair (more on that later). I had to go back and add glue after about a month because the screws were coming loose on the legs and leg stretchers were getting wobbly. Especially glue the leg stretchers, but not until after you have the legs on in the correct places (see next point) If you don't glue them and the screws start to come loose in spots these things will wiggle like no tomorrow and I use mine as a foot rest at times. A wiggly foot rest is very distracting. - If you follow the instructions you will not have "misaligned" leg stretchers. make sure you put the legs on the right sides otherwise they wont match up correctly. I recall feeling confused about this at first, but when I got it it became clear that it was not a design flaw, but an error made by those putting the chair together. - The fabric is not sturdy or very strong, and defiantly not pet-proof. I reccomend not gluing the seat onto the chair BECAUSE I had to reupholster mine. My cat sometimes sits/sleeps/jumps onto it and it couldn't take the pressure. He had it torn/and poked many holes in it pretty quickly. The material on the seat is not very nice for the price of the chair. Cheap vinyl stretched over a foam piece. (that's why I removed a star) I know it sounds like its my fault for letting him use the chair, but he's jumped/sat in my boyfriends office chair that has a similar fabric, other chairs in the house, and on my couch without managing to rip those open so there's that. It's not TOO hard to remove/replace the fabric on the seat if you have a staple gun and some pliers to rip out the old staples. The company that makes these really did go to town on the staples that hold the fabric on so prepare yourself for that struggle if you decide to actually remove the old fabric. I guess you don't have to remove the old fabric if you don't have any major damage, you could just put the new stuff over it if you wanted, but mine was so bad, and I didn't want to feel the disaster of it underneath the new layer. If you were wondering, my seat needed to be reupholstered after roughly 1.5 years of mine and the cat's use, but I pushed it to about 2 years before I bit the bullet and actually did so. - The stain/finish has held up well enough. Only showing ware/damage on my chair back's top edges where I have managed to hit it on things. I have noticed after having it for so long that parts of the stain are uneven on the chair, but it's not really that noticeable unless you look for it. - Lastly after 4 years of my cat sleeping/jumping/playing on it, my booty plopping down and sitting on this chair for hours, and also it regularly being used as a step stool to reach things on shelves, the foam still springs back/hasn't deflated. I'm 5'7, 150lbs, and the cat is roughly 10" tall, and 14lbs :) ... show more

  • Beautiful chairs
Size: Counter Height Color: Black
I got these chairs when it was a huge discount, so for me it was totally worth the price. They are beautiful, sturdy. You get exactly what you see in the pictures. It took us around 40-45 minutes to put together each individual chair. Many pieces & details. Some of the boxes came with instructions and others didnt. The perfect amount of screws and equipment came with each chair, that wasnt an issue. They are a bit on the firm side but i dont mind it. It keeps us sitting up straight without being uncomfortable, im sure with time it will soften up ... show more

  • Sturdy but Flawed Design
Size: Bar Height Color: Dark Cherry
We bought 3 of these stools and found that they were nice and comfortable. They are sturdy and easy to handle. It took about 45 minutes to put the first one together and about 20 minutes each for the other two. We had family over for the holiday and I was shocked as I saw at least 4 people kick or trip over the stool legs when walking by the table! In our case, the high-top, bar-height table is against a wall on one short side with several feet of clearance around the other three sides, so it’s not a tight space issue. I needed to figure out what was making this happen. I did some measurements, and it turns out that the rear legs stick out 3½” beyond the back of the seat. This might work when used at a bar, but we use them on a high-top table like you see in a restaurant. It’s very odd but, without thinking about it, when you walk past a chair or stool, you must intuitively sense the leg’s location by the top of the stool back and your feet automatically stay clear. Nobody would expect something to be sticking out on the floor. Imagine a piece of 2x4 sticking out 3½” behind your chair legs—you too would be tripping. You just don’t expect anything to be there. So, the problem we had with these stools was the design. I have found other stools that have a typical design and are going to work just fine. Returning these to Amazon is going to be a trick since they are already assembled, and shipping is going to be tricky—but they are no good to me. ... show more

  • Worthless
Size: Counter Height Color: Red Cherry Wood
Terrible...the stain is already scraping off. One wobbles, the other came with a bent screw, and several screws stripped. Instructions are worthless. Wish we can return them. Don't buy these they are a waste of money.
