I bought 2 bar stools, assembled the first one and it was perfect, pulled the second one out of the box and the foam under the cover on the seat was defective. As the picture will show, it looks aweful. Hope the manufacturer will offer to replace as this is very noticeable and not sure how it goot past quality control. ... show more

I have been looking at similar stools for months now. Most were around $75 per stool. These were less than $50 a pop. I was skeptical, but they were in stock, so I took a gamble. It's amazon, you can return anything, right? So why not. I received my order when promised, which was surprising considering it was a week before Thanksgiving. When unboxing the first stool, I was impressed, everything was wrapped nicely to avoid scratches and dings. Unpackaging was not a chore as with some products. Assembling the stool was pretty easy. I had all 4 assembled within an hour. My job required the use of power tools, so I used a driver to help speed up the process, but hand tightened the bolts and screw as suggested in the instructions to avoid stripping the holes. IF you're not accustomed to using power tools, I would suggest simply using hand tools, especially the wood screws. If they pass the test for Thanksgiving, I intend to go back and apply some wood glue for added strength. That being said, I am quite impressed with how sturdy they are even without wood glue. The leather seats look nice and seem to be put together nicely. However they are not a cushy as they appear, but that could be because they are new and the foam padding is not broken in yet. I would definitely recommend them so far. They deliver what was promised........nice looking, sturdy. ... show more
