Product is not bad for the price; actually once assembled it looks like a top shelf item. Just follow the instructions, what very little there are, with one exception. Apparently during milling of the legs they failed to drill a pilot hole to screw in the bottom three cross members. If you don’t drill a pilot hole for each of the 6-provided wood screws you won’t be able to screw in the wood screws as they are not self-tapping. Just don’t drill too deep; approximately 1/4”. ... show more

    • Great Chair - assembly tip for tight fit
This is a great value but suggest you follow these assembly approach. This is made of very dense wood (great!) but, in fact, too dense to properly seat the screws by hand in the cross members attached to the legs, which is why you are seeing some reviews with the cross bars not pulled tightly to the legs. While the instructions state do not use a power tool, you will have a difficult time firmly seat the screws by hand. Use your drill and adjust the clutch so that it doesn’t turn too tightly to the point of snapping the screw (screws are plenty beefy despite what others have said) or stripping the head - a little trial and error will get you in the zone. Once you seat the screws with your drill, then tighten the allen screws and this chair will be extremely solid. ... show more

    • Pretty good chair, terrible hardware
The stool is made using wood constructed from scraps glued together and remilled. That milling isn’t consistent, causing some components to not fit correctly. The Hardware is all there, but of poor quality, so much so that the instructions state that only the wrench suppled should be used, because it is so small, it’s minimizes the chance of stripping them out. ... show more

I love these! I ordered 4 for my kitchen island. I like that they aren’t really tall, in the fact that they don’t come much over the counter. I was looking for something that looked nice but wasn’t crazy expensive. I have had them for a month now and no issues at all. Very easy to assemble.
