The media could not be loaded. What can I say but that I am very impressed with this panel. Frankly I didn't expect it to be this nice and it is a huge improvement to the metal plate that was used prior to installation. Build Quality: The plastic is fairly thick and rigid and appears very durable and break resistant. The surface is a nice scratch resistant rough matte finish (see picture 2) Unique Hinged door and 5 point support The door has floating hinges. When you close the door you actually push the hinge in and that inserts two additional support tabs on the same side as the hinge to give a very solid close with a total of 5 support tabs (and the two hinges) --- see last picture. Installation: You need a cutout (7th picture) 3/8th inches larger than the nominal size of the panel door. (12 3/8 x12 3/8 in my case) after a test fit I pulled the panel out a bit and traced just inside the outside of the panel and sanded down my texture. applied a liberal amount of caulk on the drywall. Made sure I had the access panel in the position I wanted (door opening directed to right or left) and pressed the door in, then wiped up any excess caulk. You know that rats nest of wires by the TV, game console, etc.? I decided to put it inside the wall and out of the way of the roomba. This panel does the job of giving access to that stuff on the extremely rare occasions that stuff needs dealt with. The end result is a far far cleaner look to the room. Note: the access panel is in the back of a closet that shares a wall with the room that has that electronic gear in it. The install was straight forward and probably easier than fixing a hole in the drywall. Quality is fine and it looks OK tucked in where no one is likely to see it. ... show more

I have installed several panels and what I like most about this one, after installation, is that it opens on a hinge. Installation is very straight forward and it was easy to get the panel to adhere to the wall.
