Excellent recovery purchase after spine surgery

I bought this to use after lumbar fusion surgery because I needed a stable surface that could roll over my recliner while I recovered. It ended up being one of, if not the, most useful purchases I made. I assembled it before surgery, and it was straightforward to put together. Once assembled, it feels sturdy and has held up well. During recovery it became my desk, dining table, and catch-all surface, and even now I still use it every day. One thing I really like is how adjustable it is. I was able to set both the height and width to fit my recliner perfectly, and it easily slides out of the way when I need to get up. It also fit around my adjustable twin bed, although I ended up spending most of my recovery in the recliner. My biggest complaint is actually the locking wheels. On several occasions they locked on their own, and because I couldn’t bend over after surgery, I had to ask someone else to unlock them. That probably won’t be an issue for most people, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re buying it specifically for post-surgery recovery. If I could change a couple of things, I’d love to see more finish and color options. A wood-look or lighter finish would blend into home décor much better than black. I also wish the front edge of the tabletop was rolled or rounded. When working on my laptop for long periods, the square edge dug into my forearms, so I ended up keeping a folded towel there for cushioning. I know there are versions with a tilting center section, but I intentionally chose this model because I wanted a completely flat surface for my laptop, meals, and everything else I needed throughout the day. If you’re recovering from surgery, working from a recliner, or just want a versatile over-chair desk, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. It has become one of those purchases that I use far more than I ever expected.

One of my favorite buys of the year!

Why didn't I buy this sooner???? As a teacher I have lots of prep and sit on my recliner to do it all. My back would bother me using those foldable tray tables they sell at big box stores. I searched and took a chance on this and so glad I did! I LOVE it!!!! It is wide enough for my laptop, mouse (yes I prefer a mouse), and I can still fit my drink and the papers/books I'm working on beside my laptop. It's adjustable and wide enough so you can pull it right up to your belly if you want. The wheels are also a great bonus! Unlike the tray which would get hung up on my floor tiles (grout area), this wheels right over them, no problem. Soooo convenient and I don't have to worry about it collapsing. Durable materials and stable. This was definitely one of my favorite buys of the year!

Love this table!

Good quality. My husband assembled this table in minutes. Rolls easily. Fits over my recliner. I can now write, play cards with friends, work puzzles and watch movies on my IPad while waiting for my broken ankle to heal. I think it will be useful even after my recovery.

Fits large recliners and hospital beds when standard hospice tables do not.

This table has been a complete lifesaver while caring for my grandmother at home on hospice. The overbed table provided by hospice could not fit properly over her larger recliner or hospital bed, so we purchased this one instead. It has enough width and clearance to work around the chair, and the large tabletop gives her room for drinks, tissues, medications, meals, and the remote without everything feeling crowded. It also feels sturdy and rolls into position easily when we need to move it. The price falls somewhere in the middle compared with similar tables, but it has absolutely been worth the money for our situation. If you are caring for someone at home and the standard medical table will not fit around a larger chair or bed, I highly recommend this one.

Exactly what we needed for my mom's recliner at her adult family home. Regular hospital tables don't work with a recliner. Lightweight enough for everyone to maneuver. Lots of options with having it flat or tipped by adjusting the nice large wing nuts under the table. Only thing questionable Is the surface. Should a water glass sitting and the condensation was close to the edge which bubbled up the surface but just a little so not watertight. But loved it and purchased one for home also. My husband's using it as a desk around his lounge chair.

Perfect for what we needed.

My husband is ill, and spends a lot of time out on our porch. He literally has a recliner outside and spend countless hours out there. He needed something that was easy for him to manage and put his coffee/drinks and iPad on while sitting there. This was plenty wide enough for him pull directly over the arms of the recliner and now he has a make shift desk. It rolls smoothly and framing seems to be sturdy. The height and width are adjustable making it work with just about any chair. The table top is made of a pressed wood so I would not get it wet or wipe dry immediately after cleaning the top.

Awesome Table!

I absolutely love this table! I ordered the table with a 15 inch leg span and it's very stable and doesn't feel like it will tip over easily when moved. (There is a similar table with a smaller leg span of 9 inches that had a lot of reviews saying it tipped easily.) I live in a RV where space is at a premium. Other bedside tables or medical tables would not work due to the space needed for the base. This table easily fits over my chair and can be moved around as needed for extra counter space when cooking. It was easy to assemble, though the wrench that come with it didn't fit the bolts of the wheels (one side was too small, the other too big). That was easily remedied with a pair of needle nose pliers. My only real complaint is that the edges of the table are rather sharp and dig into my arms. I fixed this by adding some foam edge protection (baby proofing) around the edge.
