Great Value, Look, and Function. The metal frame is black in color, the fabric headboard is the perfect shade of Grey, and the and the wood looks solid and real; and, matches the wood color/grain of several dressers, night stands, and furniture here on Amazon no matter the brand. Easy assembly for a DIY person. Sturdy enough for most people. Exactly what I was looking for as a very skilled and creative handy person. This is perfect for a Cal King 14 inch high hybrid (spring and memory foam) Mattress, which is designed to be on a flat platform with no box spring. This frame was good out of the box. The drawers underneath are great and make for easy cleaning/vacuuming underneath the bed. But the frame can be even better with some modification from the original slat design. I installed 1/2 inch plywood (with sanded, rounded corners, and recessed screws) to the metal frame and added braces and feet from the big box store and here on Amazon. It was sturdy before, but now even better. Highly recommend this bed frame for anyone. The best feature is that this bed frame is bigger than the mattress. This thing is seriously high quality: solid wood feels miles better than that wobbly MDF stuff. Plus, it looks amazing next to my matching LIKIMIO nightstands – sleek lines and a modern vibe that just pulls the whole room together. And speaking of pulling things together, assembly was a breeze. Clear instructions, pre-drilled holes, and all the tools you need in one bag? Genius. I had this bad boy up and running solo in under an hour (thanks, Netflix for the moral support!). Good, sturdy, and wasn't too difficult to put together. Package was HEAVY so you'll likely need a dolly to move or open and move piece by price. If you need firm mattress support you'll want to invest in a bunkie board to put over the slats. Drawers are higher quality than expected but are difficult to latch shut since the latch is just a bolt feeding into a hole- I feel like it's enough of a nuisance to warrant removing a star because you have to slightly lift the drawer and move it around to latch it on the bolt. Very easy to line the wire drawers to make a more supportive, solid base for your storage. Headboard, footboard, and base are quiet, sturdy, and keeps the mattress from randomly moving around. shelf had enough space and width for a small bedside lamp on each side. We fed surge protectors from our outlet behind the bed to either side under the headboard base for the lamps and anything extra since there's only two outlets and phone charging ports built into the shelf. Came with two sticky corner protectors for the foot that didn't last a full day, but that's okay cause you don't really need them. Pleasantly surprised! ... show more

Not great at taking pictures but I ordered this recent and be my partner built it. Very happy. Gorgeous! Drawers go crazy. Not fixed to the structure. But the bed grab was very cheap and good quality aside from that. My man will fix the drawer situation. If he wasn’t here I’d probably add zip ties to keep it in palace. Other than that. Gorgeous, study, and perfect for what it’s advertised for. I thought the head board would be higher but still good for what I got. Defines the upgrade I needed ... show more

It's heavy duty and took several hours to assemble. The drawers are made of wire and are smaller sized. Your shoes will fit nicely in the drawers, but the drawers don't roll smoothly on carpet. Be sure to place the drawer parts on correctly or the drawers won't balance when rolling them on carpet. You will hit your toes on the drawers whenever you approach the side of the bed. Especially, if your prior bed was open at the bottom. The headboard is short, so we didn't use the box springs or it would cover the upholstery area. It's well made and doesn't squeak or move. The wood it attractive and I do like the plug outlet and the charging port, but the shelf is only about 5 inches wide. Overall, it's a good value and well made. ... show more

We love this thing. It looks way better than our previous metal bedframe and has the bonus of storage in the cute drawers underneath. She shelf above is small, but it works well for holding out phones or gadgets overnight while they charge on the headboard. At first, I used our box spring on this frame as well, even though the listing says it's not needed. I was worried about being too low to the ground. Well, using the box spring made the mattress cover the upholstered headboard and I didn't like that, either! I finally removed the box spring and put out mattress right on the frame as intended... I love it! The bed is lower than our previous set up, but it's so much more comfortable and cute. Don't be too worried if you're afraid of the height. If you like the frame, give it a try! ... show more
