This adapter ring does what it advertises, which is connecting my D500 to my telescope, but it's deficient in one extremely important feature: it doesn't lock to the camera body. It slides in and twists on, but my $3000 camera is free to spin loose while it's sitting on the telescope because the locking hole is either too shallow or too small to lock, and that's very, very bad. It prevents it from getting 4 or 5 stars because that's an extremely important feature to get wrong, and I'm going to have to get a different adapter ring as a result. It doesn't take it down to 2 or 3 stars because the ring actually works, and as long as I hang on while the camera is on the adapter, it's fine, it's just really not ideal. ... show more
