It autofocuses on my Zf-c with my 16-85, 18-140, and 28-300 S Lenses. I have two non-Nikon macro lenses which don't autifocus it but that's not important. It provides a solid connection between the camera, adapter, and lens.

Product arrived on time and as indicated on website. The build quality looks good - metal connectors on both ends to connect to the lens and to the mirrorless camera. I will mention that this particular product does have some issues with the small pin that connects the lens to the adapter - so be careful! I mistakenly purchased a much cheaper F to Z mount adapter in order to use my AF-S Nikkor 60mm 1:2.8G ED lens on a Z8 camera for digitizing photos. I was aware I would have to manually focus, as the cheaper adapter does not have the electrical contacts to support communication between the lens and camera body. However, I also found I could net manually set the aperture, and so had to purchase the official Nikon adapter, $$$. Required to use AF-S lenses on mirrorless Z cameras. Beware which seller you purchase from, there are evidently sellers shipping GRAY MARKEY (i.e no warranty) items, without disclosing it in the product listing. ... show more

It works for all Nikon lenses, AI, AIS, AF, AFS. Some may need to use manual focus, but the new Nikon Z body will adjust the view finder to compensate the stop down metering, it works well for me, price wise is a bit high.
