Although it didn't arrive as soon as I wanted, this blanket was worth the wait. I washed & dried it before using it & it came out very soft & fluffy. My husband had been having problems with his feet getting tangled up in the covers (due to Parkinson's disease). The blanket has helped with this because it is very light weight & doesn't need to be tucked in. We're not using a top sheet or another blanket any more, the sherpa feels cozy & warm next to one's skin & is easy to move around if needed. I haven’t had this item long enough to review the blankets durability. However, I washed the blanket as soon as I got it and it didn’t fade or fall apart, so I’ll call that a win, for now. This blanket is so soft and warm that there is no need for extra quilts or blankets on my bed. Right now, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for something lightweight yet warm enough for the winter. (For reference, I live in the south. Winters typically are mild, rarely have snow, and only a few days of freezing temps) Typically blankets are awkward when made on the bed either being too long or short on a queen bed, but this one fits perfectly without the need of a comforter to look neat. I am not one to care if my bed is made daily, but when I do make it, I want it to look neat without the hassle of unnecessary layers. This does the trick. ... show more

*Update 2: Three years later and I own two of these fleecy versions and four of the regular. My friend mentioned in this review gifted them to six people in her family for that same Christmas. They all loved it. All of them have held their color perfectly and are as soft as always, even after three years of washing. AND - as if by a miracle of Christmas Magic - they added CHRISTMAS-Y/WINTRY PATTERNS. I have a snowflake printed, red fleece-lined one that I swear, I must've stolen from Santa's very own bed (good thing the elves can make him more, huh?). You really should buy this blanket. Or buy six. Your call. But I vote for six.* *Almost a year later, and I am a blanket evangelist. I stand by everything I've said in this original review. It washes well, holds its softness and color and is just... THE MOST AMAZING BLANKET EVER. He told her, Grandma I need to warm it up for you tonight. So she let him borrow it. I then ordered him a light blue one (as an early Christmas gift, to keep him warm while he waits for Santa), which is a good thing because the second night he told her, I'm just gonna borrow your blanket for one more night, okay Grandma? And how could she say no to that? So he was delighted when the next day his own blanket arrived in his very favorite color. Although he did make a point of telling me he likes green, too. So a green one would be okay. You will feel like you're sleeping in Santa's bed with this thing. It belongs in the North Pole. It makes me believe in Santa and the magic of Christmas, because really there is no other possible explanation for anything so cozy and soft and perfect. I want a red one. And a purple one. Did I mention that all of this has transpired in under a month? And I've got two more friends who want one. SEE? It should come with a warning label that says: Caution... everyone you know will want this blanket. Buy this blanket. You know you want to. You know you want to feel enveloped in its cozy embrace. Trust me. Pick a color and buy it. Buy three. You'll need at least three. Especially if there are other people or pets in your house likely to steal yours. This blanket is amazing! It's seriously like being covered by a soft, warm, fluffy cloud. It's thin and lightweight and warm and just delightful as heck. A personal problem for me is that the blanket is _so_ lightweight I don't get that comforting feel of blanket weight that I love so much. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I ordered the twin size so I could use it on my bed, but the blanket is not actually twin size. It's sized more like and oversized throw. I double checked the measurements, and it is what I ordered, but a 'twin size blanket' should be big enough for using on a twin size bed. And it's not. 5 stars for coziness though! ... show more

Arrived quickly. Light-weight but keeps you warm. Soft. Would buy again. Last night blanket was hanging on the edge of the bed and our cat, by accident, stepped up to jump off our bed and discovered just how lovely this blanket it. I am going to have to get him his own.

    • Most comfortable blanket ever!

I have been getting cold at night so I decided to get a heavier blanket to add to my bedding. This was the perfect blanket. It is warm, soft, and super snuggly. The cream color is beautiful and will go with any color scheme. Love it so much, I am buying another one for my son.
