It took three minutes to program. 2:45 of that was walking out to the garage, getting on a stepstool and pressing the "learn" button. The unit synced instantly. About the process of FINDING the unit- Amazon, please make the sellers of Chamberlain/Liftmaster units CLEARLY state (a) what color programming button they work with and (b) whether they are wireless or wired. Even using a search filter for "wireless", "wall mount" and "purple" it still brought up 15 pages of wired, keyfob, non-liftmaster and yellow programming button units. I spent an hour on the search and almost gave up. Even the manufacturer's website isn't clear on these things.

My first picture is of the box of the product I ordered. My second picture is of a wired door control that my garage already had installed when i bought this home. I have the original owners manual so i was confident in this sellers return policy and in other reviews that this product was what i needed in order to consistently open my garage door with the already installed semi working wall wired button. I was worried because i wasnt sure if I had a purple learn button on my Liftmaster Elite Series Security + model 3850 and I was worried because what i have is wired and looks nothing like the item in the owners manual. I was confident that this would work and it did and my dad and I installed this button without the wires in 5 minutes and it was done. We had to erase all codes first and reprogram the wall buttons and the remotes but it was so simple and now i have a button that actually works without me having to punch the button a million times to get the door to close like the old button. Also even though it took a week to get this product I didnt care because this model was inexpensive and seemed like it was going to be compatible. My dad was skeptical because he wasnt sure how this product would receive power if i already only had a wired connection but he found out it does have a battery that lasts 3 years. Highly recommend this seller and this product. Super easy installation and worth the wait. Were so used to getting stuff in 2 days with prime, but ive learned good things take time and are worth the wait and I am so happy i didnt pay some company $100-200 to come out and take care of this for me because it was such an easy fix!

We recently finished our garage and had to rerun the wiring as the builder had put the opener cable underneath the drywall tape. We didn't want to glue the cable to the ceiling and have it look bad so I purchased this to wirelessly connect to the garage door opener. It works great and was easy to program. There is a slight delay after pushing the button but hey, it is wireless, it works, and it looks like it is wired. I am very pleased with my purchase!

My dad bought the house and the door opener was mounted by the entrance of the garage door rather than by the entrance into the house. I assume it was a preference from the home owner. So the original plan was to wire another push button until I came across this! This looks exactly as the wired one. It was super easy to program and just 2 screws to install! Looks like a professional install with hidden wires if you didn’t know any better. The only thing is the button has to be pressed a little more towards the top to enable so it took a little bit of time to adjust how to push it. However it does show a small light so you know it was pressed at the right spot. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants an additional push button!

As one of the other reviewers implied, this remote is NOT compatible with Security+ 2.0 (yellow) openers. This is not documented anywhere in the product description or the manual. You have to refer to the " LiftMaster Accessory Compatibility Chart" document to check compatibility.

I would purchase from this seller again. His company was located in Miami where I reside. I noticed them that I ordered the wrong model because I have a yellow learn button not purple, he ask me to come by the company and changed it out for me. It was easy to install and program. Now it works perfectly. Thanks again Unlimited Gate Openers.

I bought this to replace my old unit which is hard wired in. I really only needed the white cover as mine functioned but the cover was broken. After unboxing and reading the instructions I realized this was a battery operated one. It paired to my opener and functioned but the directions were unclear to if it could be hard wired in for power so I just swapped the plastic cover and have this as a back up now.
