This basketball hoop is a great value. For the price, I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality. It actually looks more like a top end hoop. The backboard material seems slightly thin but it's sturdy enough for adults to play and great for kids/teens. Instructions and assembly were fairly straight forward. The package was beat up in delivery but all the parts were there and nothing was damaged, so no problems. The height adjustment works surprisingly well, easily adjust from 7.5 to 10 feet with one hand. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase.

This thing works exactly as it should. It was pretty easy to put together. I was able to do it alone, but I would probably recommend having a helper when you put the assembled hoop into the ground pole. I just happen to be super strong and capable, so I did it myself. The height adjustment handle works smooth and easily so my kids are always moving it up and down and don't have any trouble with it at all. I doubt this would stand up to aggressive play, but if you are just playing horse or a little one on one in the yard, this is all you need.

This was the worst product I ever bought on Amazon. I am very disappointed. Missing parts. I had to ran to Home Depot and buy missing bolt and washers. The instruction is horrible. I don’t understand when I see positive feedbacks here. That’s was the reason I purchase this product after reading good reviews. Unfortunately that’s wasn’t true. I had a whole day 3 people to assemble it. The instruction is not clear at all useless. Not telling you which bolt or which part goes where, parts not labeled you just have to use your creativity to put parts together. Terrible product and missing parts had to ran to stores and search for different parts. I finished everything after 2 days. Not happy with it at all. Also the pole is very light for that big heavy top. We ended up by inserting the pole into an existing smaller pole to keep it strong. Not safe product.

Overall a nice product. The box was pretty beat up when delivered but everything was intact. The installation calls for 3 people in some areas and I can definitely see why, particularly with later steps of installing backboard/pole to the base pole so grab some help for sure. It’s not a one day project and I don’t think any would be. Plan on one day of digging hole and setting pole in concrete (don’t skimp on the concrete, it calls for 490 something pounds and it will take every bit of that if you dig the hole to specs in instructions) 2nd day just to put pole and backboard/rim together. 3rd day putting all together (if you are like me and working 3-4 hrs a day on it). The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because there were a couple of pieces missing, minor washers , not a big deal. Furthermore the parts are not labeled nor are the packages they come in so you have to sort of sift through the parts . I found I was opening different bags of parts for totally different parts of the installation not related to each other . The instructions are pretty clear and although a lot of steps they are quick and easy and you move through each one easily. The parts are also labeled at the top of each page that you will use in that particular sections. The backboard seems sturdy for recreational play which is what we bought it for anyway but if you are looking for something to go crazy on , dunking and more competitive play, look elsewhere . The backboard is super sleek and seems fairly sturdy. What I like most about the product is the super easy handle for making adjustments , literally takes no strength at all to adjust the height. Super nice if you have small children or older children who use different heights. The backboard does have a bit of a “thud” noise and shakes when you shoot on it but any adjustable height backboard with this type of set up with extension arms will do the same . My neighbor has a different brand that does the same. To many moving parts so it is what it is. Overall I would buy again, looks nice , perfect for families of different ages . Would get more help installing it next time .

Very happy with my purchase. My 7yr old son and I have been playing "horse" consistently for 4 days now. I followed the instructions on installation to a "T". That being said...I am a little concerned about durability. The backboard is composite framed plexiglass. The plexiglass seems very thin. When the ball hits the board it makes a thud sound. Our driveway isn't big which is why I wanted the smallest board possible. No Hail Marys! I'm not sure this board would stand up to that abuse. Surely no hanging on the rim. Also I used 6 1/2-80lbs bags of quickcrete for a hole that was 18"x18"x24" deep. Very solid. I would go to the lifetime website and look up the most up to date instructions and compare it to your own-modify as necessary...other than that I love the hoop. Will update as things change.
