  • WHY SELL JUNK, BIG COMMISSIONS, I GUESS
It doesn't matter if it's pretty, when it doesn't work even under warranty. Cust svc is a nightmare and can't get serviced under warranty for months. No price is worth the CS nightmare and having no refrigerator for months. GE has their own certified repairman, LG doesn't in my major market area. Even the Lowes sales guy when we went looking again, said LG breakdown or Samsung ice maker problems. He said he hears it daily. I wouldn't recomend getting anyones extended warranty on a LG, because the repair shops don't do LG under warranty anyway. If LG can't get it serviced under warranty, why do you think another aftermarket warranty could. Do yourself a favor, just call up your local repair guy and say LG & warranty, you will probably hear laughing. DO YOUR RESEARCH, IF IT'S AN LG. NO QUALIFIED repair people in nyc area ... show more

  • LG SmartThinQ limited options
Well we got the LG SmartThinQ app to run an connect to the frig. 1. There is a setting that prevents the defroster during "On Peak" power hours, but the schedule only allows up to 4 hour block, here in Phoenix, APS has peak hours from 3pm to 8pm, which is 5 hours, why is the app linited to 4 hours? 2. No option to turn off the button beep. 3. I would be nice to have the water/ice selection to fall back to a requested setting, like water. 4. If the panel is asleep, and the water is selected, you have to press 2 buttons to switch to ice, I would think pressing ice once would switch to ice. ... show more

  • Failed after 9 mos, customer service is worthless
At 9mo started displaying error messages and thawing, vague customer service, at Easter we are looking at SEVEN days to get a repairman out.

  • Do Not Buy an LG refrigerator or any other LG product
My husband and I purchased an LG R600 refrigerator January 25, 2021. It is August 2022 and it is dying. We made multiple calls to LG and have been getting nothing but the run around . LG is dragging our case out asking for information given to the last agent. This is the last time we ever buy an LG product. It has been frustrating getting LG to quickly fix our refrigerator. Meanwhile, the main inconvenience is finding another cool source to keep our son's insulin. Unacceptable customer treatment by LG. ... show more

  • Refrigerated water--It think not!
This refrigerater does not produce "refrigerated" water AND only 10 or 12oz of "cool water". You only have 48 hrs to find out any problems, after that it not returnable. FYI the term refrigerated means 40 to 35 degrees F. the first 10 oz of dispenser water is only 45F. the next 10 oz. is 52F. And it gets worse after that! This feature is a lie. Three calls to LG got me only rude people that did not listen to my problem. They made me wait more than 8 days to made sure that the 48hr deadline had passed. Shame on LG.   • Zero customer service
Bottom line is after 5 weeks I have two problems, the refrigerator is not cold enough and the water sometimes does not stop running. I called LG for repair and was told because it had a new coolant system, there were no qualified service techs in my area. Really? I live in the LA area. I am now waiting 24-48 hours from a supervisor to schedule someone, I hope. This is totally unacceptable. ... show more
