It is working well.
Style: 8,350 BTU
We have a very large bedroom area and it works really well. We also have casement windows that complicate the venting. I bought an inexpensive pie-shaped, velcro and zipper solution, but used Gorilla wide duct tape and that was a good quick, but possibly temporary solution. I’m not using the app based controls at the moment. I’m starting to think about removing my digital footprint, from google to amazon and my tvs etc. The sharing of information is starting to creep me out a bit. Yet here is a review 😳 which adds to it 😀. ... show more

Great unit, but beware of drainage.
Style: 8,350 BTU

I like this unit for the large room it's place in. It works great. However it looses one star for the amount of drainage it has. It has two drain ports one for as needed down low to the floor, and one for continuous drainage in the middle of the unit. My first mistake was leaving it running, set to off and on at 72°F and going to work. I came home to a flooded floor. I then purchased a small piece of tubing, and set it up for continuous drainage into a left over bin, I had. Seeing the amount of water it produces I got a larger bin. With the continuous drainage method, I will never leave it running and go to work. Perhaps if you purchased enough tubing and a 5 gallon bucket you could do so safely, but beware. ... show more

Great Unit for cooling medium/large bedrooms
Style: 8,350 BTU
Review Image by Bobby M
6 week review: Purchased portable unit to supplement our central AC unit to help cool our master bedroom at night. Cools the room quickly and isn’t as loud as others think. This has also saved money on our electric bill since we’re only cooling our room to 69f at night so our main unit isn’t needing to cool the entire house. Our master is very large and only has one single vent so this has been a game changer. Only drips water when you have it on dry mode. ... show more

Don't buy - piece of crap
Style: 8,350 BTU
It stopped cooling after 4 months. Don't buy this. Not worth the scrap. I also have an LG monitor that went bad. Stay away from LG I guess.

Must empty water daily into bathtub
Style: 8,350 BTU
Keeps bedroom cool but despite instructions implying a hose can be used to drain water into a bucket, as soon as the water gets high and the hose is submerged it shuts off, which honestly is a good thing so it doesn't flood my room however to get it running again it isn't sufficient to shut it off and dump the water in the bucket. For some reason it is necessary to drain all the water out from the lower drain which means taking it into the bathroom and lifting it and draining it into the tub which is a pain and this thing has been filling buckets daily so it requires draining daily. I've had many of these units over the years and never encountered this before. Wish I could get my money back and get a different model. ... show more
