  • Great tv.. you won't regret your purchase
I never ever leave reviews but I had to..... I loved my old roku tv, but it was time for an upgrade. I bought the 55" lg tv. Honestly, I bought a similar LG tv a frw weeks ago and returned it because it came with a basic remote and I COULDN'T FIND A COMPATIBLE MAGIC REMOTE. sounds stupid... but i love the magic remote this tv included (with batteries too!?). It takes some getting used to being a roku user bc there are more buttons than a roku remote... but it is a lot more user friendly than the basic lg remote. The picture is awesome on this tv. The set up is super easy. The tv app you can download on your phone has so many really cool options I can't even name them all... one of them is that you can listen to the tv just through your phone if is late at night and you're trying not to bother anyone which I think is really unique. I wasnt sure if Id be an LG fan, but I took a chance and I love it! (Plus i love the curser on the remote... so much easier for signing into apps with your email & stuff) I can't believe the quality of this tv for such a low price.... BUT it's only been 3 days, so .. well see! Just buy it... but it now ... show more

  • Great Value for the price
For the price, this is a great TV. Picture is great, remote control is much improved from the previous series, and it’s easy to use. The processing is pretty basic, but still a great overall platform. The refresh rate at 60hz even performs well without motion blur.

  • LG 55” UQ9000
Good price and quick delivery from Amazon- this is only the best thing to say. Good quality picture HOWEVER the remote is horrible, the screen’s computer always wants to do an update, if I hit the back button a message pops up there’s no internet. I have other issues with this LG product.

  • Love this tv
The sound and picture are amazing. I especially like it’s AI sound/AI picture function. Negates the need for calibration in my opinion. It is being used outdoors until it gets cold. The picture and sound are flawless either on a sunny day (minimal glare) and especially at night. Speaking are loud with just enough bass. Better than most televisions at that price point. Setup was also very easy. ... show more

  • Lots of Great Features
I have had this TV a couple of weeks now so I've had time to see how it fits into my life. First of all, I am a 77-year old woman living alone and I was able to set it up completely by myself. The directions were straight forward and easy to follow. The hardest part was putting the feet on because the screws were black and the insertion points were also black. The actual set up of the programming was amazingly easy. Most apps or features I wanted on the Home Screen could be set up using a QR code which then went to your account for features like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and others. No complicated setup was required. I really appreciated that! I love the Home Screen. At first I wasn't sure I'd like it but as I've used it I've come to love that it gives me all kinds of options as soon as I turn it on. I even set it up to give me weather in my area. If I want to go to Netflix or even Apple TV I just click on that option and I'm good to go. If I want to access the Home Screen of my satellite dish provider, I just click on HDMI1 and it takes me there. There is also a feature that allows you to use Alexa to find things but I haven't done much with that yet. It sounds like it will be fun to explore though. All in all, I had this TV unboxed, set up and ready to watch in less than an hour. That, to me, is success! ... show more

  • Horrible Backlight Bleeding
UPDATE 12/9/22 I enjoyed this TV for about 2 months and then I started to notice horrible backlight bleeding during dark or dimly lit scenes. If you don't know what that is, I encourage you to look up images because it completely defeats the purpose of upgrading to 4K for picture quality. It made scenes look out of focus in places, or like I was watching through water spots. I was honestly shocked since this TV had so many good reviews, but after doing some more research I found it's a common problem with any LG tv that's not an OLED. It's possible I just got one from a bad batch, but given the hassle and limited return window I wouldn't take the risk again. The operating system also became very laggy and annoying. I would have put up with it if the picture was good, but now it's just another negative worth mentioning to potential buyers. And again, the magic remote was so horrible I had to purchase a different remote. Original Review: This TV was easy to set up and I'm enjoying the picture quality. The smart features seem pretty user friendly so far too. The magic remote is awful though and there's no way to disable the feature. It's so annoying that within a few hours I ordered a regular remote to replace it with so I can enjoy my new 4K TV. ... show more

  • Excellent Tv
Love this tv. Built in web browser, loaded with apps. Love the cursor motion on the remote and the scrolling ball. Amazing picture. Best tv I ever had I think I will just stop going to work and stop paying bills and just sit here and watch the tv until someone comes to remove my corpse from my recliner. ... show more

  • So worth the money! So worth the money!
I've had this TV for less than a day, at the time of this review, and I absolutely LOVE it! Picture is super clear, and the colors are vibrant. My old TV, the colors were going bad. Whites looked blue, purples looked blue, and greens looked yellow. I had that one for around 5 years, and I used it for 12+ hours every day, so that definitely didn't help, haha. Anyway, I love this TV, and I am so happy with my purchase. It shipped quickly, and arrived early. I just HAD to leave a 5-star review! ... show more
