The red laser is a great way to take measurements, but it's not clear to me if the ditgital part works without using the red laser. And I do recommend it

We're constantly misplacing our tapes at home, so I picked up two more for various drawers. The lock feature earned immediate thumbs up. Really easy to work with.

The locking system does not work, I tried different things to fix it, but overall if I need it to stay open while I take measurements I have to put something on it to keep if from retracting immediately. Quality seems very good but obviously not recommended if it does not work properly.
