  • Installed many of these.
They don't make a giant hole in the wall so make a clean looking install. Downside is they don't accommodate more than 1 big power plug. More than enough room for 2 regular plugs.

  • It is a great product and it is everything included
It is a great product and it is everything included. It uses a stud mounting and standard sized box and it is coming with it. This is the second one this kind I have bought. It is much better than the first one I bought, http://www.amazon.com/Arlington-TVBU505-1-Recessed-Outlet-2-Gang/dp/B003E48COU/ref=pd_sim_60_5?ie=UTF8&refRID=1ZPHR4QJP5467KRGXC8Q, which does not come with anything other than a box and it is not standard size. ... show more

  • For a new installation, this has everything you need, but watch for box clearance.
Works fine and the Leviton compatible insert ports means you can build out any low voltage configuration you need by buying the appropriate modules. In my case I used 1 CAT5e network insert, 1 HDMI insert, and 1 F-type coax insert, then 3 blanks. The recessed design makes it possible to use a low profile mount on the TV with the TV's body covering the unit for a finished look. One thing about it that's an issue is that it comes with a special box with a closed back, which makes the low voltage side difficult when using with thick stiff cables like coax or HDMI. I prefer to use the split boxes that have a closed side for the power, and an open side for low voltage so I can use the entire wall cavity to carefully bend in excess cable. That's what I had roughed in already. These units do not fit those industry standard boxes. I had to use a dremel to slightly modify so it would fit into the box I had already installed in the wall while still keeping the two sides separated by a barrier as required by code. ... show more

  • Perfect customizable Wallplate, especially for behind a mounted TV
This is exactly what I needed and it works well. The back has a divider which separates the electrical wires from the keystone section. The divider is removable for when you install wiring for the electrical outlet, and then you can just place the divider back in. It comes with a outlet box (grey backing). The pop-ops of the box are fairly small (or average based on what you can get at HD), but for 6 cables you will find it difficult to thread anything through other than audio cables (the head of hdmi cables and coax cables will fit but only 1 thru each opening. I ended up just drilling a large 1.5"-2" hole in the back in order to fish all my hdmi cables through. Works great for just behind a mounted TV, and the recessed area for the outlet section is perfect for this use. All keystones fit in this (Leviton, Monoprice generics, etc) ... show more

  • Excellent solution for power and drops behind TV
This product is a perfect fit for supplying power and network drops behind my wall mounted TV. The faceplate and box are of sturdy construction. The box has two holes and includes screws for you to easily attach it to a stud. The faceplate also has a divider to separate the power outlet from the other side where your network drops or audio/video cables would go. I can't find anything bad to say about this product, it was easy to install, works very well, and is aesthetically pleasing. ... show more

  • Outlet for behind the TV
Purchased this recessed outlet for behind my tv. This is the second one I have installed. I like this model because the outlet is separated in the box by a piece of plastic. Some of the outlet boxes that work the same way do not have this and I was concerned running my network and HDMI cable so close to the electricity I would get interference. This outlet comes with filler pieces to fit in all the square ports you do not use. I purchased the network and hdmi jacks so I have a nice clean setup for my tv. I am going to drill out one of the plastic squares so that I can run my IR blaster to my FIOS box which will be in the closet behind my TV. Over all I think this is the best product out there, the ones they sell at the box stores is much cheaper in design and closer to $29 and this unit is closer to $25 in the stores. Update - got the HDMI adapter and you have to make sure the cable you use has a short plug, I had to drill out the back of the box because the cable I had would not bend enough for the faceplate to be screwed in. ... show more
