I’ve had this for almost a week. I bought it when it was marked down to $200. It works fairly well but I have a major complaint. THE KEYS THAT CAME WITH THE LOCK ARE THE WRONG KEYS. LEVEL WILL NOT REPLACE IT. Here’s what went down: I contacted customer service and after a couple days of back and forth via email (providing photos of the install) they eventually asked me to very the lock rod (which has a key code on it) with the key code (stamped on the key). They of course didn’t match. I was asked to provide purchase information. I did so. I was told that must have been a used unit (it was not) because of the purchase price. I assured them it was brand new in the box (still shrink wrapped) and the listing said nothing about it being used. Their final statement was as follows: “Looking at the receipt it does look like it was a "Used, Like New" through Amazon's warehouse deals for a lower price. We wouldn't be able to send out a warranty replacement for something like this, but ultimately, contacting a locksmith to cut keys that match the tailpiece code would be the fastest option regardless.” Anyway, it works fine other than the key. So be warned if you get it from Amazon and have a problem you may find yourself in a similar unresolved situation. I gave this lock 3 stars for a reason. I bought this Level Lock only because it was slim fitting on the inside part of the door and not those big bulgy square locks for the inside, because I had no room on the door. This Level lock claims it works with Alexa, but it really doesn't. I have the Alexa Echo and this lock does not work with it unless you purchase a bridge device. This being said, I was disappointed. I also have Google Nest throughout the house and this lock does not work with that either. So, this Lock only works with Bluetooth range, which means that you can only lock or unlock the door if you are close to it, from inside or outside of the house. You cannot lock or unlock the door from another location throughout the house unless you are standing near the lock. And if you forget to lock the door after you leave the premises, you cannot lock it. Another words, this lock does not function from a distance away of the lock. Works only in range with Bluetooth unless you purchase bride devices to work with Wifi. ... show more

This lock works just as advertised. I've had it installed now for almost 2 months and haven't had any issues. I've tried turning on the Auto Lock and Unlock features and they worked fine but the unlock could be a little slow sometimes so ended up not using that and instead just have the keypad. One thing that I will say is that it is all bluetooth so in order to set a "temporary code" or do any interacting with the lock, you will need to be within bluetooth range of it. There is no wifi involved at all. I'll likely get another one for our other doors. Overall it's a solid little smart lock that is easy to install and use. ... show more

This is my 2nd level lock. I first purchased the touch edition which installed super easy and works perfectly. The same is true with this version. I didn’t need the Boundary or touch features for the new side door of my house, so I opted for this simpler version (i.e., less expensive). While I am able to activate the lock with my phone, one of the main reasons I wanted this was to integrate door function with the rest of my smart home. When I unlock the door the level lock will activate any “scene” I want to set up such as a particular lighting scenario. I might get an additional lock for a security gate so when I come in the side gate, the action of that level lock would unlock the side door. Seems like using the key throws off the ability to control from the app meaning everything was working fine until one of our family members used the key to lock it. We couldn’t get in without the key through either HomeKit or the Level app. Couldn’t connect via Bluetooth even after turning off WiFi. We tested the theory and sure enough using the key was a problem. So now we carry the key. Most recently the lock stopped working entirely - we can’t use the key, the indoor latch or the apps. The door may not have been fully closed causing the latch to get stuck. Removed the lock, removed the possible cause of obstruction when the door isn't fully closed, reinstalled, and we haven't had issues. ... show more

    • Great product for someone wanting a smart lock without a keypad

I love the look because I do not want to broadcast to the world that I have an electronic entry system. The two biggest features to me are the auto-lock and the auto-unlock features, both of which I have some minor issues with. First, I wish the auto-lock feature had a temporary pause option that would allow me to turn off the auto-lock feature with a quick manipulation of the lock manually in a similar way that the Schlage system does. This would allow me to temporarily disable the programmed auto-lock until the lock is manually locked again, at which time it would automatically revert back to the auto-lock time established in th settings. As far as the auto-unlock feature, my only complaint is that I cannot adjust the home boundary. Right now I have to go to the extreme opposite end of my subdivision or leave it altogether for the auto-unlock to work, but would be nice if it would engage when I go out for walks around the block. ... show more

Easy install. Always unlocks with app via "Home" or application. It doesn't always send alerts through the Home application. Occasionally takes quite a while to connect.
