This lock gave me some technical difficulties for it fitting into my door, but nothing that I can blame on company. You must install the Level app on your phone before you add it to Homekit, I wish I knew it before installing it into the door and then un-installing it to pair it with the app. One user asked me that if they can add two keypads to one lock, I tried adding second keypad to the existing lock but it started searching of for a new lock, that I believe means one lock can only accommodate one keypad only. Your lock PIN works both for unlocking and locking the door lock therefore I don’t need key to lock the door while going out. Also, I am using the existing outer keylock from wiser and my existing key is still in use. Other than my own incompetency, the lock is fabulous. Working like a charm. I had to change keypad batteries within six months first time. I have bought rechargeable batteries and a charger just in case this happens frequently. In nutshell, I am loving this and no complaints about this lock. There might be some technical feature suggestions but I don’t think the company will listen to me ever.

Lock did not work like it was supposed to. Had issues unlocking door after installed and would not work with app. All around disappointment. The idea is wonderful. Execution not. Returned product and bought a door lock with codes that was very easy to install.

I have an outdoor gate for my front yard courtyard. It is a keyed deadbolt on both sides so we'd always have to give a key to guests or anyone that is doing work on our home. Now, we can issue temporary codes to people without having to give them a key. The level bolt we purchased is the bluetooth version, not wifi, so we have to program everything with our phone or tablet while standing close to it.

Easy to install. Works well with the keypad I installed. There are some issues that stops this from being stellar. Extremely large geofence. Let’s say, for example, you lock the door behind you on your way out to get the mail. If you have Auto-Unlock enabled, you might expect your lock to unlock when you return to your door. However, Level App still sees you in the Home Boundary since you haven’t left the geofence. You’ll have to use Level App, keys, or number pad(if you have that) to unlock the door. You have to leave the geofence before Level App recognizes you’re Away, which in my case would mean going outside of the apartment building and walking 2 blocks away. When you return Home again then the geofence to unlock will work. Even then, the geofence only works about half the time. I walk right up to the door and wait for it to unlock... sometimes it will, most of the time it will not. So for me this is a useless feature... which is the main reason I bought the lock. I can set the lock to lock in 3 minutes after I have come home. But even at that... it does not sense if the door is open or closed... so I can be bringing in groceries from outside, and the lock will lock even if the door is still open. For my use, I wanted to be able to retrofit my lock with a number pad while keeping the same key configuration (my apartment building requires this so that their master key will still work with the lock). So for this basic purpose this lock works. The geofence settings would have been a nice bonus... but that is useless.

We’ve had this installed for about a year. It works about half the time and then I end up using my key which defeats the whole purpose of having a smart lock. Also, if the keypad is in direct sunlight it will definitely not work. We are shopping for a new dead bolt and wish we could return this product. It looks nice but that’s all it has going for it.

if you have a high security deadbolt and lockset from a brand like Multilock or Medeco, it will have a shield that is designed to add structure, drill resistance, and saw resistance... and there's a very good chance this level insert won't fit. reducing the diameter of the interior part by a couple millimeters would fix the issue. the battery location, inside of the bolt itself, makes me feel like this is a convenience product, and not actually a security product. it is a great idea, the form factor could be improved to increase compatibility, and battery and bolt design feels like a design and engineering oversight.
