The charger works perfectly, quality is very decent and the app super straightforward to use. I personally like the NFC card to activate the charger, as I set up my device outside of my studio parking lot and thus unauthorized access of the charger is impossible. NFC card and app turn the charger on and off, and that's all that's needed. I'm getting 202V, 46.3A, or 9.292 kW, which currently runs $0.08 per kwH at a commercial rate. My Ioniq 5N will cost $6.72 for a full charge of 220-ish miles – my driving style will yield a somwhat lower mileage, but smiles per mile are much greater in a 600+ HP car :) The feed/input cable could be a little longer to go through an exterior wall, but was long enough to go through a single layer brick wall and connect into a joint box. I really don't see the need for a fancier wall charger...

Wiring the charger was fairly straightwards. The difficulty in setting it up came with the App. You are instructed to download smartlife pro and configure it. Smartlife is a generic app for smart home appliances. However the app setup instructions in the instruction manual are not accurate. Also, when configuring the app itself, the instructions in the app aren't accurate. We setup the charger using a guest account under the app just to get it working, however the guest account was wiped from the phone upon closing the app. Now we are having difficulty connecting another app to the charger. There is no clear way to reset the charger to allow another phone account to connect to the charger. So we are kind of out of luck at the moment getting another phone to connect to the charging station. This means we are stuck with the configuration we made on the charger using the guest account unless we can find another way to connect to the charger with a different phone. The other comments about needing to use the app or a card to start the charging are applicable. This device is setup to be used by multiple people and there doesn't seem to be any way to unlock it so that there is not need to use the app or one of the provided keycards to get it working. Given the app doesn't work, this device might stop working if we were to accidently lose the keycards.

Did a full install which took about 5 hours which mainly consisted of electrical work, and about 45 minutes to install the charging station itself. The station is a clean black and grey box with a V cut down the middle where the display screen is fixed. The display is very minimalistic displaying the information you need and care about (voltage, power draw, how much you've charged and for how long) along with an icon to display if your device is connected to wifi or not. Any error messages will also be displayed here and are explained in the user's manual. There is an emergency shut off switch along the right side, should there be a need to use it (hopefully not!). The station comes with a separate holder for the charger itself, which is an optional install. If you choose to store the charger and cable a different way, it does come with a rubber covering to protect the prongs. Sadly, there is no apparatus included to spool the cable up on. There is an app for the station and connecting to the app is extremely simple and takes only a moment. Through the app you can monitor the activity of the station, set the charging current (should you need to adjust), set charging schedules, and cut off the power. My Jeep Wrangler 4xE takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to charge at a ChargePoint station, and with this, I am getting the same results. And the charging cable is long enough to where I can back in next to the station (as the charging port is on the left side of the Jeep) or I can pull into the driveway and just walk the cable around the front of the Jeep. This is a quality product, well built, designed for its intended purpose, and well worth the price!

Ok i tried to find installers here in Nashville Tn. Best price i found was a 1000.00 to install finally got someone to do it for 900.00. The thing i did not know it comes with a credit card to side to charge and also a phone app.The phone app works ok I just wanted plug and go.But its nice

I installed it in 2 hours. I got mine hard wired so I can get 48amp charging 44 miles a hour. I used at 60 amp breaker with a 6/3 wire. This charger needs no neutral wire just two hot wires and a ground. The app is very basic but all you need. I would definitely recommend this unit.

You can only use this Charger through a very awful app or by swiping a card. If you want it in your garage, this is a real pain. But, the worst part is that even though they say you can schedule charge times. the application doesn’t work. It stays on “real time” charging all the time.
